Benedict Cumberbatch has admitted that he isn’t quite used to being thought of as sexy.
The Sherlock star was recently voted the most sexiest man in the world, beating football stud David Beckham who finished in second place.
However, the British actor isn’t used to being idolised in that way and can’t imagine why ladies would lust after him and in an interview with The Mirror laughed:
‘It’s new to me and I’m sure I’ll get used to it and find a way of dealing with it, but at the moment, it is quite odd.’
He added that he does quite like being thought of as handsome, but still finds the whole thing slightly amusing. Benedict continued:
‘Do I like being thought of as attractive? I don’t know anyone on Earth who doesn’t but I do find it funny.’
Benedict is single, we’re sure all you female admirers will be glad to find out, but he doesn’t think her’s the perfect catch by any means.
The actor – who will also star in the new Star Trek movie when it hits cinemas next year – said that when he looks in a mirror, all he can see is flaws. He went on:
‘I look in a mirror and I see all the faults I’ve lived with for 35 years and yet people go kind of nuts for certain things about me.’
‘It’s not me being humble. I just think it’s weird.’
Things are mad and crazy for Benedict right now, as on top of his Sherlock commitments and his Star Trek role, he has been added to the cast of new movie ‘Twelve Years A Slave,’ which will also star Hollywood A lister Brad Pitt.
He’s going up in the world!
