Sherlock’s Lara Pulver from Da Vinci’s Demons to the last series of Skins! *SPOILERS*
Lara Pulver caused quite the stir when she starred in Sherlock last year and bosses are hoping that she’ll bring the same amount of attention to Skins, when she joins the final series of the show.
The 32 year old star is best known for her portrayals of Erin Watts in the popular BBC spy drama Spooks, and Irene Adler on Sherlock, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch but she’s taking up residence over at E4 next for her new role on their teen drama.
Pulver will play a character named Vanessa, who has been described as a ‘ball-breaking business bitch’ and will work alongside regular Skins actress Kaya Scodelario ( Effy Stonem) in Skins Fire.
‘It’s been fun for me to step into a very different style of TV show,” said Pulver.
‘But there’s actually kind of a parallel, as I’m joining Skins at a time when the show is also entering new territory, following these well-known and loved characters as they start the next chapter of their lives.
‘Playing opposite Kaya has been a lot of fun. We’re both playing strong-minded, ambitious women who are in the midst of very different stages of their lives.
‘This causes friction between them and yet they can’t help but find compassion and an ally in one another.’
It’s been confirmed that Lara will also star opposite Kayvan Novak, best known for his role in Facejacker, who will take on the role of Effy’s boss Jake.
Later this year Pulver will also star in a joint project between FX UK and Starz US titled Da Vinci’s Demons. The brunete beauty will play the “seductive and politically-minded” Clarice Orsini, a series regular and wife of Lorenzo Medici.
