New Emmerdale actress Siân Reeves has admitted that she is uptight and overwhelmed by her experience on the ITV soap.

The 44-year-old actress will play Ashley’s ex, Sally Spode on the soap.

Speaking to the Daily Record during a break from filming Emmerdale, she explained: “This is my first proper attempt at diving into this world and I’m drowning a bit at the moment.

“But everyone has been lovely. I was getting a bit uptight today because I haven’t got a dressing room yet, but everyone was helping me. There are so many actors. It’s the biggest show I’ve been involved in. There are six episodes a week – I’m used to doing one episode in two-and-a-half weeks.”

She added: “I’m the new girl asking people, ‘Will you be my friend?’ I couldn’t sleep last night because I was so worried about today. On set I just keep my head in my scripts and then I get a headache.”
