Singer Plan B lost two stone on Ray Winstone’s advice for The Sweeney movie

Singing sensation Plan B has dropped two stone on the advice of his movie co-star, Ray Winstone.

Plan B – whose real name is Ben Drew – is starring in a remake of The Sweeney alongside Ray, who plays Jack Regan in the film.

Drew plays the role of Regan’s sidekick colleague, George Carter.

Speaking to The Sun, Drew said, “Ray came into the studio and we were talking about my character and how someone as young as me has got the part.

“We were saying how I’ve got to be a man in his early thirties, super-smart, excels in exams, brilliant at sports and Ray looked me up and down and goes, ‘Are you sure you’re going to get yourself in good enough shape?’

“I thought right then and there, ‘I’m going to do it’. That’s the extra incentive I needed…

“I thought I’ll f****** show you, pal. I haven’t seen him since losing it all. I can’t wait to see his face.”

Drew went on to explain that since losing weight, he’s treated himself to a new wardrobe.

He said, “None of my suits fitted me. And there’s no point taking them all in.

“It would take ages and it’s all about the cut of a suit so it’s been an excuse to get more.”

As to his new diet, Drew said, “I’ve cut out bread and everything else that goes through a human process — pasta, bread, all that s*** — and I do weights’ sessions three times a week.

“I was f****** 14 and a half stone before I started training — that wasn’t healthy for my age and size.

“I’m just eating salad, steaks and fish now. I’m eating a lot of prawns. I love prawns.

“I’ve even been eating the prawns that have been in the fridge for a few days, it goes through you quicker, you know. That helps weight loss.”

Shooting for The Sweeney commences in the next few weeks.
