The penultimate episode of Smash is almost upon us and we have some great preview pictures from the second last installment of the hit musical series.

In the 14th episode – titled ‘Previews’ – the cast and crew of Bombshell are working towards opening night and their first real performance, however Rebecca Duvall – played by Uma Thurman – finds herself in the middle of a personal crisis which threatens to affect the whole show.

As the first preview starts, Rebecca’s issues prompt Julia and Tom to wade in, and try their utmost to get the show running once more.

Meanwhile, Dev is having big regrets and tries to build bridges with Karen, after his proposal gone wrong and Frank tries to bury his upset at the return of Michael Swift’s return.

Elsewhere, Ivy has a dark secret, that if revealed, could put everything she has worked towards in jeopardy.

Rebecca may not have proved herself as an actress or singer just yet, but viewers will have to admit that she certainly looks the part in these preview pictures from the episode.

She looks stunning as Marilyn Monroe and we’re guessing that she’s won Derek (Jack Davenport) over completely, as that kiss on the head looks warm and very affectionate to say the least.

Elsewhere, Tom (Christian Borle) and Julia (Debra Messing) are rushing to tweak the show based on feedback from the first preview, while Julia’s husband, Frank (Brian d’Arcy James), tries to cope with Michael’s (Will Chase) return to the show.

“Previews” airs in the US on May 7 10pm, NBC and in the UK on Sky Atlantic later this year.
