Fans of Emmerdale will know actress Fiona Wade best for her role as Priya Sharma, who is of course currently embroiled in a love triangle in which her fiancé David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) is set to propose to her yet again in an upcoming episode, while being secretly in love with his former wife-of-convenience, Alicia Gallagher (Natalie Anderson).
However, it would seem that Fiona’s real personal life is every bit as passionate as her character’s as it’s been revealed today that she’s had “a passionate fling” with a co-star who she refuses to name.

As fans of Coronation Street will know, Gloria Price (Sue Johnston) told her astounded family this week that she in fact has £80,000 sitting in her bank account, and that being the case, she could – and will – save the Rovers…
Her daughter Stella (Michelle Collins) was forced to put the burned out pub on the market after her insurance company refused to pay out for the fire damage after they learned that the arsonist had keys to the place.
Stella was of course devastated, and to make matter worse, builder Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) threatened to sue her for the thousands he’d shelled out as he began the refurbishment of the iconic pub. Read more & comment »
In next week’s episodes of EastEnders, Lauren Branning’s struggles with booze reach a dramatic climax when not only does she steal from her own grandmother to fund her drinking, but in a booze fuelled rage, she also lashes out at Lucy Beale, and is arrested!

When Samantha Womack left EastEnders two years ago – at the climax of the cot death and baby swap storyline which saw her character Ronnie Branning imprisoned – it was under something of a cloud given that Samantha had found the plotline “stressful and emotional.”
Poor Samantha was even harangued in the street while out with her husband and children by fans who evidently can’t tell the difference between reality and fantasy, and all in all, after quitting the show to star in a musical, Samantha said she had no regrets about leaving the BBC soap.
However, it’s been revealed today that Samantha is in fact coming back to the show to reprise her role as Ronnie, who, as viewers will know, has recently been freed from prison. Read more & comment »
Fans of Emmerdale will know that Cameron Murray has so far murdered two people – farm worker Alex Moss, who was played by the gorgeous Kurtis Stacey, and Carl King, who was played by the equally lovely Tom Lister – however, it seems the body count may yet rise, as Dominic Power has revealed in a recent interview…
Dominic, who’s played the role of Cameron since 2011, made the revelation while discussing his character’s current plot twist, which will see him exhume Alex’s body in order to prevent the remains being discovered. The land where he buried the unfortunate farmhand is about to be dug over as redevelopment work begins.
However, in order to find the time to carry out the gruesome task, Cameron has to miss the fundraising event which he organised on behalf of Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) who recently underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour. Read more & comment »
As we reported earlier, ITV were celebrating last night as it was revealed that their primetime soap Emmerdale had thrashed rival BBC drama EastEnders in the viewer ratings on Tuesday night…
And it’s been widely speculated of late that the dwindling number of EastEnders viewers is down to the “cast exodus” which has seen some of the show’s biggest names leaving the soap in recent months.

After the much-anticipated wedding day murder of Texas Longford in Hollyoaks last week, Danny Mac who plays one of the main suspects in the investigation has come out to praise writers, and his co-star James Atherton, for the plot.
Mac’s character Dodger was instantly arrested after Texas (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove) was pushed from her honeymoon suite window after police found CCTV footage of the pair arguing just before the murder.

Coronation Street viewers will know that recently, one of the show’s storylines featured Roy Cropper’s mum Sylvia Goodwin – who’s played by veteran actress Stephanie Cole – unwittingly eating marijuana brownies…
However, once she discovered that the ‘secret ingredient’ was helping her with the pain of arthritis and joint inflammation, she actively sought out the hash cakes, as did her friend, Dennis Tanner, who’s played by Phillip Lowrie.
And it seems the plotline struck a chord with fan John Griffiths, who was reportedly “inspired” to grow marijuana to similarly ease the pain of his arthritis. But unluckily for him, the police cottoned on to what he was doing and arrested him! Read more & comment »
Last night, an overjoyed ITV was celebrating as it was revealed that Tuesday night’s edition of the Yorkshire based soap trounced its BBC rival EastEnders in the viewer ratings.
Emmerdale stars Bhasker Patel and Michelle Hardwick – who play the roles of Rishi Sharma and Vanessa Oldfield respectively – retweeted a message posted by ITV bosses which read, “Last night an hour long Emmerdale beat Eastenders by 2 million viewers.

You would be forgiven for thinking that being nominated for no less than FOUR British Soap Awards would be enough to turn any actor’s head, but not so for Corrie star Alan Halsall – who of course plays Tyrone Dobbs – because all he can think about right now are his wife, the gorgeous Lucy-Jo Hudson, and the baby girl they’re expecting in August.
While speaking to the Daily Mirror about being nominated for four gongs – the ceremony airs on ITV on Sunday at 8pm – modest Alan said, “I’m not too comfortable with all that really. I have one standard smile which is like a big grin.

Pregnant shop assistant, Sinead O’Connor, is set to go into labour unexpectedly, with only the former object of her bullying, Esther Bloom, to help deliver her baby girl.
Fans of the hit Channel 4 soap will know how Sinead (Stephanie Davis) spent most of last year, and the earlier part of this one, bullying Esther Bloom (Jazmine Franks) to the point where she attempted to take her own life.
