Sons of Anarchy star and Katy Perry’s ex, Johnny Lewis found dead in suspected murder-suicide!

It’s been reported by US celebrity media website TMZ that Johnny Lewis – who had starring roles in Son of Anarchy and The O.C. – has been found dead at his home in California.

28 Johnny, who formerly dated singer Katy Perry, reportedly committed suicide by jumping off the roof of his Los Felix home, where the dead body of his 81 year old landlady was later found by police.

Local police are apparently treating the deaths as a murder-suicide.

TMZ reports that neighbours heard elderly Catherine Davis screaming before spotting Lewis clambering onto the roof of the house.

At the time of writing, police say they cannot confirm if Lewis fell or jumped, but they did confirm that he is their only suspect in the murder of Ms Davis, who was battered to death…

LAPD commander Andrew Smith told ABC News, “He appeared to have died from some type of fall, either from the stairway, or from the balcony, or from one of the roofs.

“The best we’re piecing together now is that it appears that some type of altercation occurred inside of the house resulting in the death of the woman.

“Then this individual ran outside, had an altercation with a couple of neighbours, ran back into the house and by the time we got here, he had fallen or had somehow died on the driveway.”

TMZ adds, “He also viciously took the life of the landlady’s cat by beating it to death and DISMEMBERING it in the process … TMZ has learned.”

After starring as Dennis ‘Chili’ Childress in teen drama The O.C., Lewis went on to star in Bones, with a regular part as Kip ‘Half Sack’ Epps, and in 2010, he starred alongside Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in The Runaways.

Kelli Jones, who’s a costume designer on Sons of Anarchy, paid tribute to the actor on Twitter.

She wrote, “Woke up this morning saddened by the news of the passing of Johnny Lewis. Half Sack season 1 & 2. Amazing spirit. He was also a friend. RIP”
