Springwatch returns to BBC Two for another three-week celebration of UK wildlife and wildlife people – live and interactive from across the country. Simon King, Kate Humble, Chris Packham, Gordon Buchanan and Martin Hughes-Games form the new presenter line-up as they deliver unique views into the private lives of some of the UK’s best-loved animals.

At the heart of Springwatch are the daily animal dramas. Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, in North Norfolk, is once again the home to this year’s series where Kate and Chris watch the daily animal dramas unfold.

These privileged views into the private lives of some of the nation’s best-loved wild animals never fail to deliver drama, insight and humour to millions of viewers who witness real, natural events as they happen.

More than 50 secret mini cameras, and literally miles of fibre-optic cable, allow the series to follow these intimate animal stories, live, without disturbing the animals themselves. Meanwhile, a number of filming teams send in the latest reports from around the country.

This is where most of the mini cameras are deployed, keeping viewers up to date on a whole range of animal family stories from around this incredibly rich wildlife hotspot.
