Storm Queen goes straight to the top of the Official Singles Chart

On Wednesday we reported that on the Official Singles Chart mid week update that Storm Queen looked set to top the Official Singles Chart with his ‘Look Right Through’.

Now we can report that according to Official Charts Company sales data Storm Queen has infact knocked Eminem & Rihanna off the top spot this week.

Brooklyn based DJ Storm Queen (real name Morgan Geist) has teamed up with Marc ‘MK’ Kinchen who has worked with the likes of Disclosure and Ellie Goulding for the track ‘Look Right Through’. Damon C Scott also provided vocals for the track which has assisted its move to the top.

Eminem and Rihanna’s ‘The Monster’ falls one place into Number (2) this week after Storm Queen outsold the duo by almost 9,500 copies according to the Official Charts Company.


Little Mix this week are new at Number (3) this week with their new single ‘Move’ which is the first single to be taken from their forthcoming second album ‘Salute’ which is due to be released tomorrow (11th November).

16 year old Lorde remains in the top 5 this week falling two places to Number (4) with her song ‘Royals’ while One Direction and ‘Story of My Life’ complete the Top 5 this week.

Taking a look at new entries in this weeks Official Singles Chart, not including Storm Queen and Little Mix there are a total of six new entries on this weeks chart.

Britney Spears is at Number (7) this week with her 23rd Top 10 single ‘Work Bitch’ today while Ed Sheeran returns to the Top 20 with his first solo track in over two years. ‘I See Fire’ is at Number (13) and is to be featured on Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’.

New in at Number (14) this week is Katy B with ‘5am’ while Taylor Swift’s ‘The Last Time’ featuring Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody is at Number (25) following their performance on the X Factor last weekend.

Justin Bieber is back again with his fifth track in the Top 40 in as many weeks with ‘Bad Day’ which is at Number (31) while electronic rockers Awolnation make their Top 40 debut with ‘Sail’ which climbs 10 places to Number (39).
