Superstorm Finale On BBC One
The team has to accept that their research has been used with devastating consequences in the final episode of Superstorm.
The team faces the ultimate dilemma: even though they didn’t create the Superstorm, they will be implicated because their data has been used. The public will hold them accountable and it is they who will face the backlash. Stormshield take the radical decision to seed Hurricane Grace and to try to weaken it, or at least, nudge it off course – even a few degrees will spare New York from a direct hit.
As Sara flies directly into Hurricane Grace, Dan makes his way to New York City to oversee emergency procedures; at such short notice, a complete evacuation of the city is impossible and hundreds of thousands of people are at risk. As Stormshield try everything to help stop the monster they have unwittingly created, the manipulative Katzenberg plans his defence.
However, just before the Superstorm strikes New York City, Hurricane Grace makes a three-degree shift to the north-east – Sara’s seeding appears to have worked. But there’s a hitch: New York City will be spared the worst of Hurricane Grace but it will now score a direct hit on Long Island – where the team is based. There is no time for them to make an escape…
