We may only be five episodes into Syfy’s brand new drama, Helix, but the network has planned to run a marathon of the first five episodes this evening.
It would seem that Helix has been a little underestimated by some viewers, but the ratings have dropped since the premiere early in January. So, the network ha taken the decision to drum up support by running a marathon of the first few episodes during the primetime schedule.
Starting this evening at 6pm, the pilot episode will be aired, followed by the rest of the episodes that have aired broadcast on the network. The schedule can be seen at the bottom of this post.
Helix is Syfy’s very own original Thriller and focuses on scientists from the Centers for Disease control. The scientists have to travel to high-tech research facility, Arctic Biosystems to investigate a possible disease outbreak. But, once they arrive, they are pulled into a terrifying struggle that may hold the key to mankind’s salvation, but it’s a life-or-death situation.
But, the disease is only the tip of the iceberg as the truth begins to unravel as the virus evolves.
Helix stars Billy Campbell as Dr. Alan Farragut who leads the Centers for Disease Control outbreak field team. His brother Dr. Peter Farragut (Neil Napier) is caught up by the disease.
Hiroyuki Sanada also stars as Dr. Hiroshi Hatake, director of Arctic Biosystems and its mysterious viral research program.
On Friday evening (February 7), an all-new episode of Helix will air in its regular timeslot of 10pm.
In the episode, titled ‘Antiqatiga’, Dr. Farragut and Dr. Jordan (Jordan Hayes) make headway in decoding the virus, whilst Dr. Hatake secretly attempts to cure Dr. Walker (Kyra Zagorksy).
