Liam Neeson is rumoured to have accepted the role of Col. John “Hannibal” Smith in Joe Carnahan’s remake of the A-Team.

Bradley Cooper is also said to be in line to play smooth talker Templeton “Face Man”.

The Fox movie is being produced by Ridley and Tony Scott. It is reported that it will keep its main theme (wrongly convicted war veterans on the run) but will lose the camp feel and become more action packed in a Mission Impossible manner.

Digital TV channel, Bravo has aquired the rights to all 98 episodes of 80’s hit TV show, The A Team.

Dave Clarke, controller of the Virgin Media Television-owned channel, said: “The A-Team is the daddy of ’80s action series and with a Hollywood movie in the pipeline for ‘09 it’s a great time to welcome the boys back to Bravo.”
