What a brilliant episode… I know I say that every week but really, it so was. And it was the first time- correct me if I’m wrong – that an episode has been ‘centric’ to someone who wasn’t an original Lostie!
So last night, we found out a lot about Miles; he is, as I suspected, Dr. Chang aka Marvin Candle’s son but of course, as always, there were dozens of unanswered questions. However, in case you missed it, here’s a recap of the main storyline as well as what else happened and what Easter eggs were dropped in this time… Read more & comment »
I suspect my head may explode soon if Lost continues to be so grippingly, irritatingly, wonderfully confusing!
Why didn’t Sun end up with the others and apparently, not even in the same time era? And why were she, Ben and Lapidus – as well as the other survivors – on a different island?
Why was Sayid separated from everyone else, including the Marshall he was handcuffed to?
I really am loving the whole Losties – and Juliet – being in the past though. Did you see Juliet’s face when Amy told her the baby’s name was Ethan? She dropped that kid like he was a hot brick! Read more & comment »
I’m so excited there’s a very real possibility I may wee! Let me explain why…
Every year, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse come up with a ‘code name’ for the season finale and usually it’s something totally obscure and apparently meaningless, with the exception of last season’s finale which was sensibly entitled “Frozen Donkey Wheel”… because Ben turned the frozen donkey wheel.
Previous year’s finale titles however have included “Bagel”, which was the finale when Walt was abducted by The Others; “Challah” which was when Penny and her boat found the island – and poor old Charlie snuffed it – and when Jack was in a fast forward, they called it “The Rattlesnake in the Mailbox.”
But this year, a Lost fan will get to give the hallowed name to the season finale which is now apparently to be aired in the US on May 13th!
So just how might one do this I hear you cry? Unless that’s just the voices in my head again… Read more & comment »
It’s been six months since series one ended and in last night’s season two premiere, we discovered that Tripp and Patrick are still estranged – but Nick’s been brought in to help reconcile the two – and Simon and Karen have “escalated” their relationship, but the mysterious Nola Lyons could throw everything into turmoil and the ‘de-frocked’ Brian wants to get closer to his illegitimate son.
It was great to see Peter Krause on screen again as Nick; I absolutely loved him as Nate in Six Feet Under and I couldn’t quite help waiting for one of his SFU daydreams or talks-with-the-dead to happen, but alas, neither did… Read more & comment »
Do you remember the series ‘V’ as in, stood for ‘Visitors’? I do and it used to scare seven colours of you know what out of me but I find it hard to believe that ABC – even though they are one of America’s biggest TV networks – are going to pull off a remake with anything like the credibility and sheer shock value of the original. I just don’t think most remakes ever do work; do you?
However, in case you’ve never seen or heard of ‘V’, the original series centered on some extremely unpleasant aliens – The Visitors – who tried to take over the Earth. It only ran for a year but achieved cult status then and to those of us who are – sadly – old enough to remember it, it still does have cult status! Read more & comment »
It seems that the American version of BBC’s Life On Mars has failed to reach the heady heights of its British counterpart and is all set to be axed at the end of its first season.
Starring Jason O’Mara, Harvey Keitel and Michael Imperioli, the show is rumoured to have been canned due to poor ratings. US TV network ABC will air the final episode next month.
Let’s be honest, there’s nothing more exciting than watching a normal programme – like the news or a chat show – degrade into a bitter swearing match or even actual fisticuffs, so we thought we’d bring you a round-up of the all time greats of TV tantrums most of which were live on air as they happened.
The majority of them happen on American TV – maybe that’s because we Brits are too reserved for such behaviour! – however, I did find two UK TV interviews where tempers were somewhat frayed… Read more & comment »
US TV network has greenlit a pilot created by Shonda Rhimes, the woman responsible for Grey’s Anatomy.
The Hollywood Reporter states that “Inside the Box,” will be written by Richard E. Robbins and will centre on an ambitious female news producer and her colleagues.
The season premiere of season 5 of Lost is tantalisingly close now. Some lucky bar stewards have already seen it and one of them is my Facebook friend Benjamin Linus who, along with Ajiraairways.co.uk has a little compilation of the ’sneek peek’ trailers that ABC keep teasing us with.
