O deary me – Confused.com ad blasted as “overly sexual” #getachuffinlife

For me, Political Correctness is the scourge of our times – well, that and terrorism, famine and global recession – and the PC Brigade have struck their usually ridiculous oars in over ads for Confused insurance.

As you may have spotted in the company’s ads, both on TV and in paper media, one of their campaigns features an animation/drawing of women in bikinis, and around forty people have complained to the Advertising Standards Agency that the ad is “overly sexual.”

Yup, I s**t you not.

The Sun reports, “Forty complaints were sent to the Advertising Standards Agency, criticising the commercial for showing animated figures in skimpy two-pieces dancing to Village People hit YMCA…” Read more & comment »
