Alan Carr: I Looked Like I Worked In Tesco!

Channel 4 funny man Alan Carr has said that he was lucky to land his current boyfriend, after a wardrobe malfunction on the night they met.

“I had this lovely light-blue Prada shirt and quite nice slate-grey trousers and funky shoes. As I went out, I spilt red wine down my trousers, so I thought I’d put on my other dark-grey trousers,” he told Heat.

Piers Morgans Blasts Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr & Graham Norton

Piers Morgan has hit out at chat show hosts Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton and Alan Carr saying that they “wouldn’t know a good journalistic question if it bit them on their backsides”.

Morgan said that Norton is “too camp, bitchy and ’showbizzy’ for my taste”, and named him the man with the most irritating voice, apart from Alan Carr.

Piers was interviewing himself for the March edition of GQ magazine and he added that Jonathan Ross should have been sacked over his recent prank calls to Andrew Sachs.

Justin Lee Collins & Alan Carr In Rival Chat Shows

Sunday Night Project hosts Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins will soon be hosting rival chat shows, one for ITV, one for Channel 4.

Collins is presenting a show on the up and coming ITV2, which will apparently “lift Britain’s spirits during the credit crunch”.

“There will be everything you expect from the loveable Bristol comedian – big studio set pieces, hilarious VT items, cheeky hidden camera stunts, live music and huge audience surprises,” said ITV2’s Zai Bennett. “But the theme will remain the same. It’s about good times.”

The Sunday Night Project With Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer

The award-winning The Sunday Night Project returns for a new series with presenters Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr at the helm. In this first episode Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer host the entertainment show, providing an opening monologue before inviting Alan and Justin to delve into their unique world of celebrity. Kirstie and Phil also face a no-questions-barred grilling from the studio audience. And music is provided by a guest house band. Kirstie and Phil’s new series of Relocation, Relocation starts on Channel 4 on Wednesday.

Comedian Alan Carr made an astounding speech backstage at the British Comedy Awards this week which shocked and stunned the attending media. It seems that Alan dedicated his award to Karen Matthews, the woman recently convicted of arranging the kidnapping of her daughter in order to claim reward money.

Carr had been given an award for the Best Comedy Entertainment Personality for his Friday and Sunday Night Project Shows and appeared to be totally unprepared as he took to the stage to accept the honour.

The Friday Night Project Becomes The Sunday Night Project

Channel 4 are planning to move The Friday Night Project to Sunday nights when it returns this summer.

The show is fronted by Justin Lee Collins, Alan Carr and a celebrity guest host each week and has been a massive hit for Channel 4.

A source told The Sun: “Channel 4 doesn’t have a big Sunday night show. They hope the move will change that.”
