Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon joins Jonathan Ross for this week’s Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on BBC One.

Setting the Strictly record straight, she reveals that she didn’t know Arlene Phillips was out: “I knew nothing, I found out when everyone else did. I was as surprised as everyone else but I took all the flak for it.”

She also denies Arlene was a victim of ageism: “Personally I don’t think it’s about ageism, I think that’s a load of rubbish.”

Alesha Dixon is to appear on Sky1’s Guinness World Records Smashed in a bid to break her very own record.

Alesha will be performing a song and attempting to break the record for the most backing dancers in a routine.

I’m A Celebrity winner Joe Swash and 2007 Dancing On Ice champion Kyran Bracken will also appear on the series which kicks off on Sunday, April 19.

GMTV’s Ben Shephard and singer Alesha Dixon are in Africa and preparing for their climb up Mount Kilimanjaro. The stars start their climb today, though Boyzone’s Ronan Keating almost missed the flight and just met the group in the nick of time!
