LA Law actress, Amanda Donohoe may be quitting Emmerdale, less than a year after she started.

The star has reportedly said she will not renew her contract when it runs out in six months time.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star: “After so many years living the high life in Hollywood, having to graft in the freezing cold on the Yorkshire Dales is a bit of a shock. No-one is surprised that she is saying she won’t renew her contract.

Amanda Donohoe has admitted that she was fed up before she landed a role on ITV soap opera Emmerdale.

Amanda has blasted screen writers for not creating enough meaty roles for women over forty and says that a soap is almost the only option left for older actresses wanting to be challenged.

New Emmerdale actress, Amanda Donohoe has admitted that one of the things that enticed her to join the ITV soap was the beautiful location in which it was shot.

“It’s beautiful countryside. It’s real horse country. One of the pluses in deciding to join the show is the location,” she told MSN.
