As fans of Loose Women may know, panellist Andrea McLean has been branching out into the world of acting for a movie entitled, A Landscape of Lies…

In the film, Andrea plays the role of “sexually liberated therapist Dr Andrea Grey” who finds herself in a steamy clinch with a character who’s played by Hollyoaks star, Christina Baily.

However, during an interview with Closer magazine this week, Andrea revealed that the kiss was so far out of her “comfort zone,” she downed half a bottle of bourbon before filming it!

Former GMTV weather girl Andrea said, “I had to do scenes that took me out of my comfort zone and I loved it.

Loose Women presenter, Andrea McLean is set to shock fans of the show as a sex mad therapist in a new film, it has been reported.

Mclean, who is currently recovering after being stalked by a married man who bombarded her with calls and texts of a sexual nature in order to try and get her to go out with him, plays Dr Andrea Grey in the film Landscape of Lies, in which she is seen kissing both men and women during drunken nights out.

On hit daytime TV show Loose Women, Andrea McLean always has a smile and seems carefree…

However, in today’s Daily Mirror, a friend of Andrea’s has revealed the shocking truth behind that cheery façade as she explained the hell that Andrea’s been living through having been targeted by an obsessed stalker.

Andrea’s confidante explained that the 42 year old presenter – who had just split from second husband Steve Toms when the stalker’s campaign of harassment began – met and “swapped business cards” with a man she met at a social gathering.

As we reported recently, Loose Women star Andrea McLean collapsed just minutes before she was due to appear live on the hit ITV daytime show…

At the time, it was suggested that she’d suffered a panic attack in the wake of the revelation that her second marriage had ended. This Morning co-host Ruth Langsford stepped into Andrea’s place for the show.

However, during an interview with Lorraine Kelly on breakfast-time TV, Andrea said that she’s now “fine” and suffered “a wobble.”

She said, “I’m all right now. A bit of a wobble on Friday.

“I think I had been bottling everything up, because obviously to everyone else this (her split from her husband) is all brand new, but it’s been bubbling away for an awful long time.

Loose Women star Andrea McLean collapsed yesterday, just minutes before she was due to appear live on the daytime ITV show, sending the show’s bosses into a panic…

And it seems that Andrea’s collapse was itself caused by a panic attack, which has come just days after she went public with the news that her second marriage is over.

However, in terms of the show, disaster was averted when bosses brought in Ruth Langsford, who earlier that morning, had been presenting This Morning along with her husband, Eamonn Holmes.

Of Andrea’s collapse, a show insider told the Sun, “Andrea has been feeling very stressed about everything that has happened recently and had a meltdown.”

When Ruth appeared on the Loose Women panel, she told viewers, “You may be wondering why I’m here and not Andrea.

Andrea McLean – who began her career as a weather-girl on GMTV and subsequently went on to co-host Loose Women – has revealed that she’s “still in shock” over the breakdown of her second marriage.

Andrea married builder Steve Toms in 2009 after the couple reportedly had a six-year affair, which prompted the end of her first marriage.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Andrea said of the split from Steve, “We held it together over Christmas for the kids but then on Boxing Day I took them to stay with my parents – and that was the end.

Gillian, who’s 56, told Best magazine, “In TV, it’s OK for men to be 50 or 60, but for women it’s very difficult. Older actresses can feel put by the wayside.

Loose Women panelist Andrea McLean has landed a role in a new gangster movie and will star alongside former Human Traffic actor Danny Midwinter.

Of the movie, which is a thriller set in London, 41 year old Andrea will play the role of a psychiatrist who has a “dark secret.”

Speaking to The Sun, Andrea said, “I think people will be really shocked.

“I’ve got quite a main part. I play the complete opposite of what I normally am. It’s very different and I’m quite scary.

Loose Women presenters including Lynda Bellingham, Carol McGiffin and Andrea McLean are reportedly threatening to cause problems on the show, after ITV bosses sacked Kate Thornton and Zoe Tyler.

The stars of the daytime panel chat show are said to be furious that producers cast the women aside without any warning and are more than a little concerned that they may be next facing the axe.

Insiders say that some panel members are threatening to reduce the amount of days they can appear on the show, unless they get some say on the new series and how it is run.

When a stranger recently asked Andrea McLean when her baby was due, she was absolutely mortified. Aware that she’d gained weight, but in denial, the Loose Women presenter had gone from a size 10 to a 14, and didn’t feel great getting naked in front of her builder hubby, Steve Toms, 45.

Speaking to this week’s Closer magazine about that fateful comment, she says: “It was hideously embarrassing. And, to make matters worse, my parents saw a newspaper story speculating I was pregnant and phoned to ask if there was something they needed to know. It didn’t help that Steve had seen me on TV and made a comment about my bingo wings wobbling. I knew it was time to take action,” adds the 41 year old.

Weather girl, Andrea McLean has decided to leave GMTV after 11 years of loyal service.

Andrea has signed a deal to present ITV’s Loose Women chat show and says she is looking forward to getting some well deserved lies in!

“I’ve been thinking about it for a while,” she said.
