According to The Sun today, Coronation Street newbie Ramsay Clegg – Norris Cole’s estranged brother – is to be killed off when boarding a plane back to Australia.
Andrew Sachs joined the Corrie cast three months ago to play Ramsay who was in Weatherfield on a mission to win over his brother Norris. The two had been estranged for many years, but instead, he won the heart of long-term widow Emily Bishop.
In Sachs’ final scenes, we’ll see Emily taking Ramsay to the graveside of her husband Ernest who was shot and killed in an armed robbery at the site of what is now Underworld. She’ll be seen imploring him not to return to Australia but he turns her down and in a dramatic twist, he then has a heart attack and dies while boarding the plane back to Oz. Read more & comment »

Andrew Sachs has revealed that he got very badly burnt whilst filming Fawlty Towers.
During a scene where Andrew’s character Manuel supposedly set fire to the hotel kitchen, Sachs revealed that the chemicals used, actually burnt him and left him badly scarred.
Andrew told The Mirror: “They’d covered my jacket with some chemicals which reacted together and caused it to smoke and look as if it was on fire. They told me it was fine, but the problem was it wasn’t, and it got very warm.

Andrew Sachs has finally been confirmed as having signed up for a guest stint on ITV’s Coronation Street.
The Fawlty Towers star has signed up to play Ramsay Clegg, the half-brother of Norris Cole.
Ramsay is the illegitimate son of Norris’s mother, who gave birth to him as a teenager.
