TV host Davina McCall – who presents The Biggest Loser – last night tweeted her sorrow at hearing the sad news that The Biggest Loser’s fitness trainer Angie Dowds had killed herself.
As we reported yesterday, Angie’s body was found at the foot of cliffs at Beachy Head, which is a notorious suicide spot…
It was here that former EastEnders star David Scarboro – who sporadically played the role of Mark Fowler from 1985 to 1987 – also killed himself after suffering from depression.
Writing on Twitter, Davina said, “Rest in peace Angie Dowds @angechops. So so sad.”
Daybreak presenter Kate Garraway, who has also previously hosted The Big Loser, tweeted, “So sad about Angie Dowds.
“She found it so hard to see herself as the cool, inspiring, great woman others saw and loved. RIP Darling xxx.”

Angie Dowds, who was the fitness trainer on hit diet show The Biggest Loser, has reportedly killed herself by jumping off the cliffs at notorious suicide spot, Beachy Head.
Angie, who has appeared on the show since 2005 alongside presenter Davina McCall, had recently split from long-term girlfriend Corrie Preece, and it’s thought she was suffering depression.
She also had a history of problems with drink and drugs.
Last night, police told The Sun that the body of a 42 year old woman had been found at the foot of the cliffs, but they didn’t confirm definitively that it was Angie.
A spokesman said, “Just after 4.30pm on Sunday members of the public reported that a woman was seen to jump or fall from the top of cliffs at Beachy Head.
“Coastguards found the body of a woman at the foot of the cliffs about an hour later.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and it is believed that the body may be that of a 42-year-old from London.” Read more & comment »

The former Big Brother presenter stepped into GMTV’s Kate Garraway’s shoes when the show aired on ITV1 last year and enjoyed the role so much, that she has agreed to present the 2012 run.
Casting is currently taking part for the next series of the weight loss show and producer Shine TV is looking this time for couples or pairs of friends and family members who would like to compete as a team.
