Ant and Dec sing new ITV TV deal

Ant and Dec have signed a new two-year TV deal with ITV, which will run until December 2011.

“Ant and Dec are without question two of the UK’s most talented television stars who have helped make ITV the home of entertainment They have a unique appeal and a very special quality which means that they are loved by young and old alike,” said ITV director of television Peter Fincham.

Ant and Dec for Five’s Play That Tune

TV duo Ant and Dec have signed up to co-produce a new series of Play That Tune for Five, it has been announced.

The show will follow a similar format to the original 70’s & 80’s show and executive producer Ed Forsdick said it was an “iconic format”.

Ant and Dec have reportedly been banned from appearing on BBC’s Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.

The Sun has reported that the ban is part of a tit for tat row between ITV and BBC, after the Beeb banned Barbara Windsor from taking part in ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.’

Ant & Dec making brand new gameshow

Declan Donnelly has revealed that he and Ant McPartlin are currently recording a pilot for a brand new ITV gamehsow.

The presenter told The Sun that the new show would be “Family Fortunes meets The Generation Game”.

Donnelly said: “It’s great fun as we’re recording it up at Pinewood on a massive sound stage. It’s quite a physical show – really different to what we normally do – so we need the space.

Ant and Dec have admitted that they have only fallen out twice in their twenty odd year friendship.

The Britain’s Got Talent presenters currently live three doors away from each other and have never spent more than two weeks apart. However in their new autobiography serialised in The Sun, they tell of how they had a drunken brawl one night, whilst on holiday in Spain.

Ant and Dec have revealed they may be taking their Saturday Night Takeaway show to America.

The TV duo have been in talks with US TV networks about the move, but are having some trouble making the time in their schedule to fit it in.

In an interview with Q Magazine, out tomorrow, Declan Donnelly said: “We’ve been in talks about taking Takeaway to America, but it’s about finding enough time to do it.”

Ant & Dec Can’t Bear To Be Apart

ITV favourites Ant and Dec have said that they don’t like to be apart from each other for more than a night or two.

According to the Daily Star, the pair only separate when they go on holiday.

Ant told the newspaper: “The most Dec and I have ever been apart since we’ve known one another is probably about two weeks – that’s when we go on individual holidays.”

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is being axed after seven years due to high running costs it has been reported.

The duo will continue to work for ITV, they are currently working on new TV show ideas and negotiating their contract with the channel.

A source told the News Of The World: “Ant and Dec have been involved in discussions about Takeaway and are working on a replacement show. It was their baby and the show they loved the most. They’re really going to miss making it.

What’s not to love about the Geordie duo?? They’re funny, pretty to look at and I have to say, even though I’m old enough to be Declan’s – cough – big sister, I’ve always had rather a large crush on him. When he smiles and especially when he laughs, I can almost feel my underwear trying to part company with me just in case, by some three-wishes-miracle, he does indeed pop out of the telly and fall instantly in love with me.

Ant McPartlin, half of TV duo Ant & Dec, has admitted that he would like to blank out the pairs music career as characters PJ and Duncan.

“If I could go back and blank out part of my life it would probably be ‘Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble’,” McPartlin told The Sun.

“No, forget that, it would be my whole music career. There was some pretty bad stuff going on there with PJ & Duncan.”

Speaking to The Sun he said: “We’ll have been married three years this summer — and of course we want children.

“We talked about it and we definitely want to start a family soon — it will naturally happen.”

Rumours are circulating that TV presenters Ant & Dec are planning to leave ITV after their contract runs out.

ITV were fined this week, after being found guilty of a multi million pounds phone vote rigging operation. Ant & Decs two primetime shows, Takeaway and Gameshow Marathon were both at the centre of the scandal.

An ITV source told The Sun: “Ant and Dec have made it clear they’re highly upset.

Saturday Night Takeaway Getting Too Much For Ant And Dec!

Ant and Dec have revealed that they are completely exhausted after presenting a Saturday Night Takeaway show, and they put part of it down to their advancing years.

“Even the run down the stairs at the beginning of the show knackers me now,” Dec told the Daily Record. “We started Takeaway when we were in our mid 20s and at this rate we’ll be needing chairlifts to get us down the stairs.

“When we look back on the early series of Takeaway, we look so young. We think we look a hell of a lot older than we did when we first started. Now we are all craggy faced but every wrinkle tells a story…”

Saturday Night Takeaway: With Chico, Paul Daniels, Debbie McGee, Bonnie Langford, Jay from 5ive, Lee Sharpe, Lee Ryan, Sonia and Wayne Sleep

Saturday Night Takeaway is to return to our screens this Saturday night on ITV1, but in this series the lads weekly challenge, will have a bit of a twist.

Instead of the normal Ant v Dec, this series we will see Ant vs Dec: The Teams. Tomorrow night each of the boys will be joined by a team of five celebrities who work alongside them in a weekly team event.

A source has informed us that earlier in the week, Ant and Dec and their celebrity teams were filming for the challenge down in the Royal Navy training base, HMS Collingwood in Fareham. The teams were practising the assault course and then trying their hands at the field gun run. On Saturday night they’ll be going head-to-head on a recreated course outside the ITV studios.

Celebrities that were seen arriving at the base included, Chico (from X Factor), Paul Daniels, Debbie McGee, Bonnie Langford, Jay from 5ive, Lee Sharpe, Lee Ryan, Sonia and Wayne Sleep. It is believed Melinda Messenger will also be taking on Saturday, but couldn’t make the training day.

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway Returns!

Ant & Dec are back with the eighth series of their award winning entertainment show.

In the first episode, Hollywood A-lister and Golden Globe winner Will Ferrell will be stepping into The Voiceover Booth to lend his madcap ways to the show as guest announcer. Celebrities who took part last year included award winning director Quentin Tarantino, Hollywood actor Christian Slater, Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, funnyman Harry Hill and celebrity couple Peter and Jordan.

The Mouse Trap is a brand new game in which one lucky member of the public will have the opportunity to win big cash prizes each week. In a race against the clock, the unsuspecting viewer will have just one minute to grab as much cash as they can and get out of the Mouse Trap, but if they fail to get out in time they will lose the lot!
