As viewers of E4′s first look Hollyoaks will know, tonight will see two show favourites leave the Channel 4 soap for good, Joel Dexter and Bart McQueen.

Fans of the award-winning soap will know how last night on Channel 4 Joel (Andrew Still) enlisted the help of father-to-be Bart (Johnny Clarke) in his plot to rob Brendan Brady (Emmett J. Scanlan) and take back the money for his share of the club they joint own.

Myra McQueen is set to proclaim herself as the next Virgin Mary this Christmas in Hollyoaks when she discovers an abandoned baby on her doorstep on Christmas day, and promptly names him Jesus!

Things have been far from harmonious for the McQueen family in the last six months, what with Michaela (Hollie-Jay Bowes) heading off to pastures new, Carmel (Gemma Merna) being scarred for life by an exploding tanning machine, Bart (Johnny Clark) getting caught growing a cannabis farm, Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) going to prison for it, Jacqui (Claire Cooper) adopting Phoebe (Mandip Gill), and Rhys (Andy Moss) having an affair and then being killed in the tragic wedding day bus crash.

Fans of the hit show who have been following our coverage will already know how the mini bus, originally being loaded up Brendan (Emmett J Scanlan) with the wedding cakes, is hijacked by Maddie Morrison (Scarlet Bowman) in order to drive Ruby and her fiancée, Jono (Dylan Llewellyn) to Gretna Green to get married. When they realise that the cakes are in the bus, they decided to do the right thing and drive them to the wedding marquee, but when Bart (Johnny Clarke) and Esther (Jazmine Franks) try and force the bus off the road to try and stop the teenagers eloping, disaster strikes.

Hollyoaks actress, Scarlett Bowman, has revealed that viewers have responded really well to her current bullying storyline, and have even been reaching out to her to share their own experiences.

Bowman, who plays Queen Bee Maddie Morrison in the award-winning Channel 4 soap, has been slyly bullying her sixth former ‘friend’ Esther Bloom (Jazmine Franks) for weeks, getting all the other sixth formers to make fun of her and pull pranks to humiliate her.
