The delectable Jonathan Rhys Meyers has defended the huge amount of sex scenes in BBC Two newest drama, The Tudors.
Jonathan told The Sun newspaper:
“People had an awful lot of sex at that time,” he laughs.
“Remember: there was no TV and sex was very, very important. It’s what you did when the sun went down.”

BBC Drama, HBO and Company Pictures have announced that they will be launching Einstein And Eddington, a film which takes a closer look at the story behind the creation of Albert Einstein’s general theory of relativity and the personal lives of the men behind it.

Presented by Dr Iain Stewart (Journeys From The Centre Of The Earth and Journeys Into The Ring Of Fire), each episode will reveal a different force critical to the development of Earth including volcanoes, the ocean, the atmosphere and ice.

In town halls and exhibition centres across the country, competitive hairdressers are regularly going head to head in pursuit of trophies and diplomas. The most successful of these dream of being selected to represent the UK at the World Hairdressing Championships. Held every two years, the biggest and most prestigious of all hairdressing competitions attracts the best competitive cutters from 49 countries for a showdown in a frenzy of hairspray and scissors.
Competition hairdressers don’t tend to work at the famous West End salons. Many of the fancy stylists from those establishments would turn up their noses at the idea of competing. Instead, competitive cutters often come from your average local salon. But they are still a different breed from most hairdressers.
