Emmerdale: Want to star in the show’s 40th anniversary episodes? Here’s how!

ITV’s official Emmerdale website has exciting news for fans of the show today in that the soap’s bosses are looking for two viewers to audition for the parts of extras who will star in the show’s 40th anniversary episodes.

Here’s what the site says, complete with details of how you can enter!

Ever thought your dog could be a TV star? Now’s your chance to prove it with ITV2’s Top Dog Model!

I make this look more glamorous than it actually is...

Ever since Ashleigh Butler introduced her remarkable dog Pudsey to the nation on Britain’s Got Talent, us Brits have gone barking mad for performing canines, and even the normally emotionless Simon Cowell has fallen for the charms of Ashleigh’s four legged BFF…

However, they say the showbiz industry is dog eat dog, but 12 Yard Productions are almost certainly hoping there’ll be no cannibalism among the contenders of a new show they’re putting together for ITV2 entitled, Top Dog Model.

So, assuming your dog isn’t A) a killer, and B) is precocious enough a pooch to be a model, then he/she could be the next big thing on the canine catwalk.

Ever wanted to be the boss of someone? Now you can with new Channel 4 show!

Just when you thought there was simply nothing new in the realms of reality TV, hey presto, something new comes along…

Channel 4 and The Garden Productions are currently looking for 50 volunteers who will be charged with making “life changing decisions” for someone else in a new show that’s due to air later this year.

The show – which hasn’t been given a title yet – will see those volunteers making decisions for others such as “Should I get married” or “Should I leave my job.”

Airing in seven parts, the volunteers on the show will be required to shadow the people for whom they’ll be making such huge decisions, and will only rule on what they should do once they’ve got to know the person and their circumstances.

Channel 4’s commissioning executive David Glover said of the new show, “Sometimes I used to daydream about what life would be like if one were constantly being followed around by an audience… Read more & comment »
