Michael Emerson, who plays Benjamin Linus in ‘Lost’, has told Entertainment Weekly that he reckons the season and series finale of Lost will be far from a happy ending.

“I don’t think Lost will have a happy ending. It’s the end and I think we’re going to start seeing more casualties. I would put money on major characters being killed.

“I believe it will be a sad ending to the show, or at least bittersweet. I think it will definitely be a series finale for grownups.”

And on the subject of last season’s finale, Emerson revealed that he’s as confused as we are;

Given that we’re having to do without our weekly fix of Lost today, I thought instead we’d take a look at one of the big debates about Lost in general and that is, just who is the real bad guy?

There are of course two main candidates for who is THE baddie on Lost – Charles Widmore or Benjamin Linus – and for me, I think we’re being led astray by Widmore’s apparent menace.

I don’t know if you felt the same, or remember even, but when Lost first began, John Locke was portrayed as a very mysterious and menacing character, but look how that turned out!
