Just minutes after she won the Brit Award for Best International Female for the third year running, Rihanna took to the stage for a live performance.

The Barbadian star gave a lively rendition of her hit single ‘we Found Love’ in London’s O2 Arena and have to admit it was capitvating to watch. The stunning singer had so much energy and stage presence that it was practically impossible to tear our eyes away from the screen…..there was rather a lot of gyrating and crotch thrusting though…

The Brit Awards is always a joyous occasion but tonight, there were a few sad moments during the ceremony.

Just after opening the show, James Corden took a few minutes to pay tribute to legendary singer Whitney Houston, who passed away just over a week ago and was buried at the weekend.

They displayed a montage of pictures of the star on a large screen, while playing her hit song ‘The Greatest Love Of All.’

Ed Sheeran lit up the stage when he performed on the Brit Awards this evening.

The ginger star had barely been heard of by the general public when the ceremony took place this time last year, however over the last twelve months he has shot to fame and broke through commercially in June 2011, when his debut single “The A Team” debuted at number 3 on the UK chart.

He has went on to enjoy success with singles such as ‘Drunk’ and ‘Lego House’, the latter of which her performed live this evening.

Coldplay were the opening act on tonight’s Brit Awards ceremony and it was a big arena worthy performance.

The British rockers gave a live rendition of their hit song Charlie Brown, which was recently released as the third single from their fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto.

The boys had appeared in the red carpet just an hour before, all sporting matching symbols for the show.
