After the excitement at the end of the first series that a second series had been commissioned, we have now been told that we will have to wait 18 months, at least, before The Fall returns to our screens!
The Fall, which followed the story of DS Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) as she attempted to track down Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan), Belfast’s first ever serial killer, who is described as hiding in plain sight.

There was a large amount of criticism when BBC2 announced that The Fall was coming back for a second series. While the serial killer saga has become one of BBC2′s most-watched dramas of all time, the channel could’ve waited till the series had ended before announcing its return. So, coming into this final episode, there was a good chance that we wouldn’t get the final resolution we were hoping for. While I’ll try to keep this review as spoiler-free as possible, if you haven’t watched the episode yet I’d advise you not to read on for now.

With the whole nation, it would seem, gripped on the current BBC2 murder drama The Fall, one of its main stars, Jamie Dornan, has revealed that he believes his modelling career has held him back!
The Fall, which was recommissioned for a second series last week on the back of the success of its first two episodes, tells the story of Belfast’s first ever serial killer, Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan), hidden in plain sight from the detective Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) who is trying to track him down.

Tonight sees the start of a new BBC2 thriller, The Fall, and Unreality TV were lucky enough to catch up with one of its stars, Bronagh Waugh, to find out what we have in store for us!
Best known for playing feisty Cheryl Brady in the hit Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, Bronagh is joined by three former Hollyoaks co-stars Emmett J Scanlan, Gerard McCarthy and Karen Hassan for this new series, in which she plays the wife of Belfast’s first serial killer.

Former Hollyoaks star, Karen Hassan, has been back on set filming some new scenes for the hit Channel 4 soap, Digital Spy reports.
Fans of the award-winning show will know how Karen’s character, Lynsey Nolan, was killed last year in one of the most exciting, best kept secret murders of all time.

Hollyoaks fans everywhere were shocked to see the normally sweet and morally stubborn Cheryl Brady raise a gun and take her own father’s life last week, and Bronagh Waugh, the actress who plays her says it was all her idea!

Hollyoaks fans everywhere have wanted nothing more than a happy ending for Cheryl Brady, but now, with that almost an option, Bronagh Waugh, the actress who plays her, has explained it may not be that simple!
We announced earlier this year that after four years of playing the bubbly business minded Brady, Bronagh had decided to quit, at the same time as her on-screen brother, Emmett J Scanlan.
The fact that these two siblings were leaving together, and even filmed their final scenes together last month too, meant that the exit was bound to be jam-packed with drama, with not a lot of room left for fairytales.

We reported back in January that Emmett J Scanlan had quit his role as the double hard, double B moustached monster that is Brendan Brady, and after months of speculation about just how this ‘epic’ exit would play out, it has now been confirmed to us by Scanlan himself that the next two weeks on the hit Channel 4 soap are to be Brendan’s last!

Oh dear, we said the domestic bliss between Brendan Brady and Ste Hay wouldn’t last long in Hollyoaks, and it would seem we were right!

New Hollyoaks actor, Tom Turner, has revealed that the current storyline for his character, Nate Tenbury-Newent, is about to get very dramatic.
Fans of the hit Channel 4 soap will know how Nate, who first appeared on our screens during last year’s epic Hollyoaks Later series as the horse and cart man love interest of Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh), has recently returned to the show as the millionaire investor of Cheryl and Leanne’s (Jessica Forrest) new naked waiter service company.

As we reported yesterday, Hollyoaks favourite Emmet J. Scanlan lost the iconic tash of his character Brendan Brady to mark the end of an era as he filmed his last (ever?) Hollyoaks scene, but it has now been revealed that it wasn’t him who did it!
Emmett j. Scanlan revealed to Unreality TV last month that he had decided to quit his role as the double hard double B moustached monster that is Brendan Brady, explaining that he didn’t want to let his audience down by letting his character become repetitive or complacent.

It is the moment that all Hollyoaks fans have been dreading, Emmett J. Scanlan has filmed his final scenes as the double hard, double B moustached monster that is Brendan Brady – and to show us he means it, he has shaved off his iconic tash!
We reported last month that Brendan Brady was to leave the award-winning Channel 4 soap after the actor who plays him, Emmett J. Scanlan confirmed to us at Unreality TV that he was bowing out of the show.
