Fans of Corrie will of course know that gay characters Sophie Webster and Marcus Dent haven’t had the easiest of times with their respective new partners of late…

Sophie’s new girlfriend Jenna (Krissi Bohn) has only just told her mum she’s gay, and Marcus (Charlie Condou) struck up a romance with hairdresser Maria after ‘turning’ straight!

More on Marcus’s ongoing problems shortly, but first, Brooke Vincent, who of course plays Sophie has revealed that she’s become something of an “Agony aunt” to teens who are, like Sophie has been, in turmoil over their sexuality.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Krissi Bohn hopes Jenna and Sophie Webster become an item after everything they’ve gone through! (VIDEO)

Fans of Coronation Street will of course know that when Sophie Webster made a move on her physiotherapist Jenna Kamara, and the pair kissed, Jenna actively reciprocated the smooch…

However, when Sophie’s dad Kevin (Michael Le Vell) walked in on the pair and saw them kissing, he immediately went on the offensive and told Jenna he was going to report her to her superiors at the hospital for her inappropriate conduct with his daughter.

Sophie (Brooke Vincent) was of course mortified with her dad’s behavior, and angrily retorted that he was only making the threat because Jenna rebuffed his clumsy advances some weeks before…

But nonetheless, Kevin did indeed report Jenna, and she now faces a disciplinary hearing over the incident. Read more & comment »

Corrie Spoilers: Brooke Vincent says Sophie Webster’s livid with dad Kevin, saying “He ruined things for her with Sian and now he’s ruining things with Jenna!”

As we saw in last night’s visit to Coronation Street, Sophie Webster and Jenna Kamara (Krissi Bohn) shared a tentative first kiss, only to be interrupted when Sophie’s outraged dad Kevin walked in on them.

And despite the fact that he himself made a pass at Jenna, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) was livid about what he saw, and told Jenna that he was going to report her to her superiors at the hospital, saying, “That’s abuse” after he witnessed the kiss.

And in an interview with Soaplife, Brooke Vincent, who of course plays Sophie, has revealed that it’s no idle threat, and that Kevin does in fact report Jenna, which could of course cost her her job as a physiotherapist… Read more & comment »

Coronation Street Spoilers: Producers make script changes to Sophie/Jenna plot line!

We have known about a new romance between Sophie Webster and her physiotherapist Jenna Kamara in Coronation Street for some time, but after consulting with The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), ITV have now decided to make some changes to the plot and script.

ITV were advised by the society of the repercussions of patient and a physiotherapist developing a relationship, and have altered certain parts accordingly.

Coronation Street’s Craig Charles on why Lloyd Mullaney is shocked by Jenna’s new romance!

We reported a few weeks ago how while Coronation Street’s Rosie Webster recovered from her recent road accident, that both she and her dad, Kevin, would fall for the charms of her physiotherapist, Lloyd Mullaney’s daughter, Jenna – and it would seem that she has chosen whose affection to return – Sophie’s!

Sophie (Brooke Vincent) has been single ever since her wife-to-be, Sian, ran out and left her on their wedding day, and it seemed that there was no sign of love on the horizon for the unlucky teenager, especially after trying to help her friend she ended up almost paralysed when a car hit her.

Corrie: Brooke Vincent says that injured Sophie Webster will forgive Ryan Connor, but only if he gives up drugs!

Earlier today, we reported that injured Coronation Street resident Sophie Webster is to get a new love interest in the form of her physiotherapist, Jenna (Krissi Bohn) but long before that romance begins, Sophie has to cope with hearing that she may never walk again!

And given the circumstances that resulted in her terrible spinal injuries – that is, that by saving Ryan Connor (Sol Heras) from being hit by a car, Sophie took the impact herself – Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie, says that her character will forgive Ryan…

But only if he swears never to touch drugs again.

Speaking to Soaplife, Brooke first began by explaining that Sophie doesn’t even blame Ryan for the accident, but of course, her parents Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) do!

Corrie: Both Sophie Webster and her dad Kevin will fall for Lloyd’s daughter, Jenna!


As fans of Corrie will know, poor Sophie Webster is facing months of recovery after she was knocked down by a car earlier this week, having shoved reckless Ryan Connor (Sol Heras) out of the path of the oncoming car.

Having been told that she may never walk again, Sophie (Brooke Vincent) will have to undergo long-term physiotherapy to mobilize her again, and it’ll transpire that her physiotherapist is Lloyd Mullaney’s newly found daughter, Jenna Kamara (Krissi Bohn).

And according to the Daily Star, not only will Sophie fall for Jenna – and Jenna for her – but so will her dad Kevin (Michael Le Vell) who will of course accompany Sophie to her physio sessions.

Corrie star Brooke Vincent says being run over as Sophie Webster was scarier than falling off a roof!

Coronation Street teen Sophie Webster has of course been a tad accident prone in the last couple of years, what with her fall from the roof of a church and now, she’s about to be knocked down by a car!

But while speaking to TV Biz, Brooke Vincent, who of course plays Sophie, has revealed that in direct comparison, filming the scenes in which Sophie’s run down were scarier than the fall that left her fighting for her life.

The road accident of course comes after Sophie pushes a drunken – and high on drugs – Ryan Connor (Sol Heras) out of the path of a car. He flees the scene of the accident, leaving Sophie lying in the road.

A stuntwoman filmed the moment when Sophie is actually hit by the car, but Brooke did the rest of the scene herself, including dodging the moving cars.

She said, “However much the stunt co-ordinator told me the cars wouldn’t touch me, because the stunt drivers knew exactly what they were doing, it went against every instinct to step into the road… Read more & comment »

Corrie star Brooke Vincent’s happy that she’s given such varied storylines as Sophie Webster – plus see new spoiler clip (VIDEO)

Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has revealed that although she’s loved the dramatic storylines surrounding her character Sophie Webster’s sexuality – Sophie is of course gay – she’s happy that the writers give her other plotlines, such as the forthcoming road traffic accident.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Brooke said, “I didn’t just want to be known as the actress who played a lesbian,” she tells us.

“I loved playing that storyline and it got loads of positive attention, but there is more to Sophie and to other teenagers than just their sexuality.

“I was ready to tackle another teen issue and I was glad it was drugs. It’s the hardest storyline I’ve ever had to play.”

The paper adds, “Viewers will be stunned to see Sophie’s tragic accident after a night out with bad boy Ryan Connor.”

Corrie star Michael Le Vell on Kevin Webster’s rage when he finds out Ryan left Sophie for dead!

In upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, we’ll see Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) being left fighting for her life after she’s hit by a car, having saved Ryan Connor’s life by pushing him to safety out of the path of the oncoming vehicle.

And to make matters worse, because Ryan’s (Sol Heras) drunk and high on drugs, he flees from the scene of the accident, leaving Sophie unconscious and critically injured, lying in the road.

So understandably, when Sophie’s dad Kevin finds out about Ryan’s cowardly actions, he’s furious and seeks out the young lad.

Speaking to Soaplife about the plotline, Michael Le Vell, who plays mechanic Kevin, explained his character’s rage.

He began by explaining, “Kevin’s having a quick pint in the Rovers and his phone goes.

Fans of Corrie are set for an edge-of-your-seat storyline next week when Sophie Webster ends up fighting for her life in hospital, having saved Ryan Connor’s!

But back to the tragic events, and horrifyingly, even if Sophie makes it, she’s set to be told that after devastating injuries to her spine, she may never walk again.

Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley fears “intimate” pics will appear online & Michelle Keegan and Brooke Vincent become housemates!


News from Weatherfield way today includes Catherine Tyldesley’s fear that some “intimate” photographs that she sent to an ex-boyfriend may surface in the press or online, and on a happier note, co-stars Michelle Keegan and Brooke Vincent have become housemates.

But first, of Catherine’s worries – she of course plays sexy Eva Price – it seems that since she split with her boyfriend, she’s heard rumours that pictures she sent him are “doing the rounds”.

A friend of Catherine’s told the Mirror, “She’s terrified they could appear on Twitter or Facebook at any moment.

“And it goes without saying she will be absolutely furious if they do.

“The snaps were sent in confidence but it looks as though somebody is threatening to betray her trust, which is very upsetting and disappointing.

“There’s nothing she can do apart from cross her fingers and hope for the best.”

Corrie: Sophie Webster will save Ryan Connor’s life, but will be left facing paralysis herself!

As we reported recently, in forthcoming episodes of Coronation Street, Sophie Webster will be told that she may never walk again after she’s involved in a road traffic accident.

However, at the time, it was reported that Sophie (Brooke Vincent) would be seriously injured after her friend Ryan Connor (Sol Heras) takes her on a joyride which ends disastrously when he crashes the car then flees the scene because he’s high on cocaine.

But today, The Sun’s TV Biz and the Daily Mail report that in fact, Sophie will sustain serious back injuries after she saves Ryan’s life by pushing him out of the path of an oncoming car…

Corrie: OMG! Sophie Webster may never walk again after horror ‘drug fuelled’ car crash with Ryan!

It’s been reported today that in episodes of Coronation Street that will air next month, Sophie Webster will be told she may spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair after she’s involved in an horrific car crash!

The storyline begins when junkie Ryan Connor (Sol Heras) who’s high on cocaine, takes Sophie (Brooke Vincent) on a high speed car ride that ends in disaster when the impaired lad crashes the car.

Knowing he’s high on drugs, cowardly Ryan immediately flees the scene, even though he can see that Sophie’s been horribly injured.

So when emergency services arrive on the scenes, Ryan’s nowhere to be found, but of course, ultimately, he’ll have to answer for what he’s done when Sophie tells police he was driving… Read more & comment »
