Stephen Mulhern to reprise Roy Walker’s game show Catchphrase for ITV2
Irish comedian Roy Walker shot to fame as the host of ITV game show Catchphrase when the show aired from 1986 to 2002, with his own catchphrases of “If you see it, say it,” and “say what you see” becoming nationally adopted ones.
As mentioned above, the show – which sees contestants having to guess a well known phrase from a computer animation – ended in 2002, however, it’s now been revealed that ITV2 are reviving the programme and have hired Britain’s Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern to front the new version.
An ITV insider told TV Biz, “Stephen is over the moon that he is going to front the revival of such an iconic show.
“He feels he has worked his apprenticeship at ITV2 and has been rewarded with a fantastic opportunity. He can’t wait to get started.
