There has been no official confirmation that Grey’s Anatomy is returning for a ninth season and we have to admit, we were getting slightly worried by rumours that some of the show’s biggest stars were considering jumping ship at the end of the current run.
However, Deadline today reports that all our favourites will be back for another series next year, claiming that Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers, Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, James Pickens Jr. and Chandra Wilson have all inked new deals which will see them not only starring in one upcoming run, but will also have them re-upped for two more years. So we may even get a season ten out of them!
Chandra Wilson has claimed that her character Bailey’s relationship with Mercy West anesthesiologist Ben Warren will have changed her in the next season.
The Grey’s Anatomy actress told TV Guide, that even though actor Jason George (who played Ben) has joined new series Off The Map, he may return to Grey’s at a later date. However she added that the relationship will have changed Miranda Bailey, whether Ben returns or not.
Grey’s Anatomy star Chandra Wilson is set to cross over to spinoff show Private Practice.
According to EW.com, Wilson, who plays Miranda Bailey in the American medical drama, will appear in Private Practice during the third episode of season six. There will be quite a spark between her and ladies man Sam when she shows up in the Oceanside Wellness clinic.
Chandra Wilson has admitted that she was shocked and honoured when she released that she had been nominated for two Emmys.
The Grey’s Anatomy star has been nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a drama for Grey’s Anatomy and outstanding lead actress in a miniseries or movie for Accidental Friendship.
Wilson told People: “We did the [nomination announcement] rehearsal ahead of time [and] went down the teleprompter three times. My name wasn’t there, so I was like, ‘Cool’.
