Charlotte Church has revealed that her Channel 4 chat show will be back next year. However it will contain less chat and more music and entertainment.
The mum of two appears on today’s Paul O’Grady Show and says:
“I’m hoping to come back with my show in the New Year.
“There might be less chat though, I’m not as good as you are at it, Paul. More music and entertainment.”
Charlotte Church will reportedly replace Kerry Katona as the new face of Iceland.
The People reported that Charlotte has already signed a £250,000 deal with the supermarket and filming of the ads has commenced.
Charlotte Church hosts her award-winning entertainment show with a cheeky mix of comedy, music, hidden camera stunts and star guests.
Tonight, Charlotte turns the tables on talk show host Jonathan Ross. New strand Lady to Ladette continues, as Charlotte teaches the remaining four girls the essentials of a rollicking night out in Cardiff, based on her philosophy of the four ‘D’s: dressing, drinking, dancing and doners. Channel 4 presenter, Charlotte Church, is expecting her second baby.
The 22-year-old, who gave birth to daughter Ruby in September, announced the news on her official website.
A statement entitled “Here we go again!!!” said: “Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson are delighted to announce that they are expecting another baby.”
Charlotte will still be recording the new series of her Channel 4 chat show this summer.
New mum, Charlotte Church, has revealed that she plans to take her daughter Ruby to work with her when she returns later this year.
Channel 4 recently confirmed that Charlotte’s chat show would be returning this summer, but Charlotte has denied rumours that filming will move to Cardiff to make things more convenient for her saying:
“It just wouldn’t work. It is only one day a week filming – so I will take Ruby to work with me to London anyway,” she explained.
Channel 4 have announced today that a new series of The Charlotte Church Show will be broadcast this summer.
Following Charlotte’s break to have her first child, the award-winning entertainment series will return with a run of 8 x 45 minute shows to go out in summer 2008. In addition C4 has also commissioned a Christmas special.
The studio show will continue with the same successful format that characterised the first two series, mixing pre-recorded hidden camera stunts, comedy sketches, celebrity guests, exclusive duets between Charlotte and top musical acts and studio audience participation. Read more & comment »
Charlotte Church is reported to have donated £5000 to the UK’s first star wars themed church.
Two brothers, Barney and Daniel Jones from Anglesey, approached the singer about helping them to fund their Church of a Jedi.
Barney told the Daily Star: “As children we always watched the Star Wars films. And we noticed that there were a couple of sites on the internet, Jedi Church sites.
“Now we can’t wait to make a UK church where like-minded people can worship. My brother and I will wear the Jedi robes – the dark brown ones. The congregation will be in black, to bring a sense of unity to the meetings.
“The services will include sermons on The Force, light saber training, and meditation techniques.”
Church’s partner Gavin Henson was said to be wary of the project initially, but as always the lady is said to have put her foot down! Read more & comment »
Charlotte Church is said to have decided to return to work on her TV show this summer.
Charlotte took a career break after the birth of her daughter Ruby last September, but is said to now be ready to work on a third series of her Channel 4 chat show.
A Channel 4 spokesman told the Sunday Mirror: “We’re in the early stages of planning, but it is looking like Charlotte’s show will come back in the summer.”
Charlotte Church was shaken but not injured after a minor car crash on Sunday.
The accident happened as Charlotte, who is pregnant with her first baby, and boyfriend Gavin were driving home. Charlotte’s mini was shunted into the back of Gavin’s Mercedes, and though not seriously hurt, Charlotte was too shaken to drive home.
A police source said: “The ambulance service was called but no-one was seriously hurt.
“But obviously Charlotte is pregnant and didn’t feel happy to carry on driving in her condition.
“She was advised to get a medical check but said she was feeling well enough in herself.”
