The One Show has an exciting few months ahead. The show is all set to get extended and will welcome some new guest presenters for the summer. The series, which usually runs at 30 minutes, will include an hour long show every week from September to the end of the year.
The 60-minute shows will include a raft of new features, celebrating lives, landscapes and stories from all around the UK.

Christine Bleakley has turned down the chance to present ITV entertainment show This Morning.
Bleakley was in talks to take over the role from Fern Britton but has decided to stay on BBC’s The One Show with Adrian Chiles.
Christine told The Daily Mail newspaper: “I am more than happy at ‘The One Show’. Doing ‘This Morning’ would mean getting up very early. I am definitely a night owl. It is a nice thing to be asked but I am very happy where I am for time being.”
Happy because she and Adrian are secretly dating perhaps? I’ll let you make up your own mind on that one….

One Show presenter Adrian Chiles has denied rumours that he and Christine Bleakley are having an affair.
The pair have both spilt up with their long term partners within the last year and were recently pictured coming out of a flat together in seemingly suspicious circumstances.
The BBC presenter told The Times: “It looked suspicious but it was totally innocent. Rather sweetly in the reporting of that they were absolutely accurate in the timings.

Christine Bleakley has become the first star to fall foul of the BBC’s new pay policy.
Christine renewed her contract for the channel’s One Show this week, but it is thought that her £100,000 wage was reduced somewhat.
A source told The Sun: “The BBC played serious hardball over this — their view was that nobody is worth holding on to at any cost any more.
“They figure there are plenty of stars out there who can replace people who demand too much.
