It’s a week of celebrity takeovers. Cilla Black will present Loose Women on ITV this Friday and earlier the same day, Peter Andre and Kate Thornton will take over the This Morning reins for a few hours.
Cilla will join Sherrie Hewson, Carol McGiffin and Jane McDonald. Her best pal Christopher Biggins will be a guest.
ITV daytime chief Fiona Keenaghan said: “I am delighted Cilla will be joining us for the day.”

Cilla Black will appear on this week’s Piers Morgan’s Life Stories on BBC One and during the interview the TV presenter breaks down when talking about the death of her daughter.
Cilla reveals that baby Ellen was born prematurely at only 27 weeks in 1975, but passed away two hours later.
Cilla wept: “It was awful. I could hear in the next room two women talking about their babies and I had none.”

Poor old Cilla Black must be feeling past her prime. In the day, her dating show Blind Date was one of TV’s most popular shows but now it seems she can’ even get past her first episode.
Cilla was supposed to be fronting Loveland for Sky One, but the whole series has been cancelled after a test audience hated the first episode.
A source told The Sun: “People just did not like the show in the focus groups. They kept asking why we didn’t just bring back Blind Date.

Amanda Holden is reportedly being groomed as the “next Cilla Black” for American TV.
Amanda has made a bit of a splash in the US recently and The Daily Mail has reported that she has been offered a TV show very like ‘Surprise Surprise.’
“Amanda would be like a new Cilla Black. One reason she was great on Britain’s Got Talent was that she gets really emotionally involved with the acts,” said a production source.
