Isaac Mendez/Noah Bennett
Isaac wakes up in bed with Eden in the room and she reassures him that she’s going to help him get free of drugs and that he’ll still be able to paint.
Noah Bennett meets Isaac and acknowledges that he can paint the future. He offers to help Isaac, in return for his help. He explains that Claire is his daughter and that he needs him to take heroin one last time. Noah forces Eden to talk Isaac into taking the drug. He says something interesting about how she was when he found her, and how Eden talking Isaac into taking heroin is the easy option “and we both know what the hard option is”.
Hiro & Ando & Charlie Andrews
Charlie a waitress with a seemingly fathomless knowledge of trivia. She meets Hiro and Ando and impresses them with her knowledge of Japanese. Which she claims to have learned from a book the previous day. She mentions that “it’s a funny thing my brain’s been doing lately”.
Hiro gets flirty with Charlie the waitress as he teaches her more Japanese. At the same time, Hiro and Ando are being watched by a sinister figure in the cafe.
Charlie later goes to the kitchens, but a strange shadow is cast over her and suddenly she bleeds from the head. She falls down. Dead. The crashing brings the other waitress and the police officers sitting in the cafe.
Afterward Hiro and Ando discuss using his powers to travel to the past to prevent the murder. Hiro concentrates and then disappears. As Ando walks around the cafe waiting for Hiro’s return, we see a photo showing Hiro and Charlie at what appears to be a birthday party.
Matt Parkman
Matt Parkman and his foxy FBI colleague Agent Hanson interrogate Ted. As he gets agitated, the glass of water in his hand starts to bubble and give off steam. Parkman manages to calm him down and they communicate through thought. Ted shows him the strange mark on his neck which matches Parkman’s marks exactly.
Matt and Ted discover that their experiences of being abducted are the same. Both recognize the Haitian man from their abductions. Their discussion is interrupted as Ted is taken away.
After punching Tom, Matt is suspended from the force for a month. He goes home and his wife admits the affair, saying that it’s over. Just after, Matt gets a call from Hanson to say that Ted the nuclear dude has escaped custody.
