On Monday, as Peggy pins up a ‘Happy Hour’ poster outside the Vic, she spots Archie watching her. Returning inside, Peggy asks Roxy if she can be around for the brewery delivery. Roxy agrees while Sam tries to pin up a banner. With that, a drenched Roxy runs down the stairs shouting for Ronnie, saying the kitchen pipes have burst. Peggy’s unhappy that her ‘happy hour’ can’t now go ahead, but Ronnie assures her that it can.
Owen walks by and claims that he’s a qualified plumber, but Ronnie’s dismissive of him. Peggy, however, invites him in to survey the mess, and as he does, Ronnie hands him the tools he needs and he questions her coldness towards him. Ronnie says that what he did to Libby is no secret, and after she jokes about throwing him out, he admits that he’s previously attempted to commit suicide.
Later, Roxy asks Owen to look at one of the beer pumps, and when Denise walks in to talk about her wedding reception plans – and sees him behind the bar – she angrily questions why he’s there. Frustrated by Denise’s attitude, Owen irritably returns to the job at hand, splitting a beer pipe in the process. Read more & comment »

On Monday, frustrated by the noise from the wasps that have nested in his roof, Archie’s climbing the ladders as Janine walks past. As they talk on the Square, they glance across to the Vic and notice Peggy watching them.
A while later, Archie sees Sam walking past but she insists that she wants nothing more to do with him because of what he did to Peggy. He reminds her though that he raised the money for her bail, but she adds that the rest of the family declined his offer. With a little more persuasion though, Archie manages to convince her to have lunch with him.
She later turns up at the house with Ricky in tow and over lunch, Ricky doesn’t hide his mistrust of Archie. In order to speak to Sam alone, Archie asks Ricky to clear the wasps’ nest. Read more & comment »

On Monday, Shirley, Heather and baby George pull onto the Square in a taxi and as Darren nervously watches from afar, Zainab and Ian congratulate Heather on her new arrival. While Denise is at the Car Lot, Darren turns up and she starts moaning at him about asking for Owen’s permission to marry Libby. Annoyed by all the hassle, Darren slouches into his chair and finds a load of missed calls from Libby.
Over at the Vic, Chelsea and Amira walk in and after cross words with Chelsea, Darren leaves. As he walks out of the pub, he spots Heather with baby George and immediately walks in the opposite direction. Having ignored Libby for most of the day, Darren finally answers his phone and he suggests that she speak to her mum as Denise is going out of her mind. Darren heads over to see Denise and stands up to her, much to the surprise of Lucas, Chelsea and Patrick. At that moment, he receives a text message. Read more & comment »

On Monday, Heather and Shirley are struggling for cash and as Heather sorts through some bits in the house, Shirley says that she’ll have the rent money soon, before storming out.
It’s Heather’s last day at the Minute Mart and she tells Pat that she suspects Patrick has a surprise for her, but Pat dismisses the idea. It’s not long before Patrick tells Heather that she can leave early after handing her a maternity booklet. Heather’s eyes light up when Patrick follows her out, but she’s disappointed when he asks for her overalls.
Jean, Minty and Billy aren’t bothered about Heather’s maternity leave either, and even Shirley tells her to go home and “get on with it”. Read more & comment »

On Monday, Peggy and Phil stare in amazement at Sam’s sophisticated look for her court appearance, but a frustrated Sam tells Peggy that she’s attending court on her own as she’s not a child.
Later, Sam learns that Ricky can’t make it to her hearing and when Archie offers to go along with her instead, she declines. Sam bumps into Janine in the café and when they start talking, they realise that they have common ground. Janine explains that she’s been through a similar ordeal and they soon leave the Square together. Read more & comment »

On Monday, as Syed tries to paint over the ‘Bad Boy’ graffiti on the front door, Zainab panics him when she reveals that she knows who the bad boy of the family is – it’s Tamwar and she’ll be able to prove it “before the day’s out”.
Presuming the vandalism was for his benefit, Syed rushes to the café in search of Christian, but, unable to find him, Syed receives a call from Zainab who’s worrying about Tamwar’s whereabouts. Syed soon finds Tamwar looking at his phone, but when asked what he’s looking at, he refuses to show his brother.
Having found Tamwar, Syed tracks down Christian to his flat and expresses his concern that someone knows about their secret affair. Christian, however, tries to allay his fears. Read more & comment »

On Monday, James suggests to Christian that he cook a Sunday roast for Ian, Jane, Syed and Amira, but Christian’s not too happy with the idea.
Over at Masala Queen, Masood’s excited about becoming a father again, but Jane’s despondent that she can’t have children. Having told Ian that she wants to look into having a baby, Ian suggests that they discuss it later. Christian’s later shocked when his sister reveals her hopes of expanding the family.
Later at Christian’s, Ian and Jane turn up along with Syed for Sunday lunch. Syed explains that Amira’s out shopping and therefore can’t attend. After a ‘moment’ in the kitchen between Christian and Syed, Christian takes his frustration out on Ian when he makes a negative comment about Zainab having another child “at her age”. Christian calls Ian a thoughtless and selfish man, prompting Ian to reveal that he doesn’t want any more children. Christian also tells James to keep out of his family business. Read more & comment »

On Monday, following her meeting with Archie last week, Peggy heads across to the Car Lot to see him. There, he shows her a suitcase full of cash – £150,000 – to cover the outstanding balance of Sam’s bail money.
Archie tells Peggy that she can have the money, but only on the condition that he can move back into the Vic. Peggy’s furious at his suggestion but Archie concedes that they’ll sleep in separate beds to start with. Peggy, however, points out that the rest of the Mitchell family won’t be happy with the decision.
In desperation, Peggy again asks Ronnie if she’ll put forward her profits from the sale of her half of R&R. Ronnie’s resolute, though; the money’s for her future as she and Joel are looking to buy a club together and start a new life. Read more & comment »

On Monday, Lucas is thrown when he hears that Patrick wants to help Charlie clean out the summerhouse because Charlie says he wants to cleanse himself of memories of Brenda.
Later, Jordan finishes building the model boat he received for his birthday before Lucas manages to corner Patrick into helping to hand out flyers. Lucas knows that he has to keep Patrick distracted so that he can’t help Charlie with the cleaning task as he presumes that Trina’s body’s still in there.
Lucas goes to where he left Patrick handing out flyers but he panics when Patrick’s nowhere to be found. In the Minute Mart, Denise reveals that Patrick bought some rum and went home. Read more & comment »

On Monday, Bianca’s reeling after discovering that Sam Mitchell’s returned to the Square while Phil’s fuming that Ricky brought her back. Bianca insists that Sam has “blood on her hands”, but Ricky explains that he couldn’t leave Sam out in Brazil on her own. With that, Peggy walks in and is delighted to see her daughter.
Phil’s concerned that the police will still want to speak with Sam, but she’s adamant that they won’t be interested in her any longer. Phil calls the family lawyer while Sam suggests that she and Billy go down into the bar for a drink. Downstairs, Ricky’s having a drink with Bianca and he explains that Phil offered him a job at the Arches if he did him a favour. Sam walks into the bar with Billy and Ricky heads over to have a drink with them before Ronnie returns to see an ecstatic Sam. Read more & comment »

On Monday, it’s Jordan’s birthday, and while Libby, Chelsea and Patrick prepare to go to the Notting Hill carnival, Lucas is outside with Jordan playing with a new skateboard. They’re waiting for Trina to stop by but Lucas expresses his concerns to Denise about Trina letting her son down again.
Carnival fever has taken hold but Jordan’s anxious that Trina’s not shown up. Denise leaves her a voicemail and as they’re about to leave, Trina turns up. Jordan’s ecstatic about his mother’s arrival and she hands her son a mobile phone for his birthday. Before she leaves, Jordan invites Trina along to the carnival, much to everyone’s annoyance. Lucas reluctantly agrees, but before they head out, Trina goes to the bathroom.
Trina takes her time and when she eventually emerges, she’s high on drugs. Lucas is livid and when she admits to being high, he tries to get her out of the house, however, Jordan sees what’s going on and he’s upset by the commotion. Trina barges into the living area and starts dancing, and when Patrick suggests that Jordan leave the room, Trina insists that he stay with his mother. Read more & comment »

On Monday, Dawn’s boxing everything up in the flat ahead of the wedding and in preparation for their move, so she suggests that Garry spend the day with Minty ahead of the stag do. When they’ve gone, Dawn hugs her wedding dress as she stares at a photo of her and Jase from last year.
Later, as Dawn makes her way through the Square, she bumps into Phil who gives her short shrift. Minty, meanwhile, watches them both, but they aren’t aware of him. Dawn arrives at Shirley and Heather’s flat for her hen party, while at the Vic, Minty turns up at the stag do, and there’s an evident animosity between him and Phil. It’s not long though before a blonde woman turns up at the Vic and it quickly becomes apparent that she’s a stripper. Read more & comment »

On Monday, Peggy’s furious at Archie’s decision to buy the Car Lot, while Janine spots the new ‘Mitchell’s Cars’ sign. Archie tells her that he may have a job for her, but she replies that she’s not interested. Meanwhile, Ronnie goes to see Joel at his office and learns that Archie gave him a wad of cash to stay away from her…
As they discuss the past, Ronnie’s surprised to learn that Joel did try to make contact with her after Archie forced him out of her life when they were teenagers. Joel goes on to admit that he’s married, but he’s surprised that she already knows. She tells him that she paid him a visit the previous October and saw his daughter at the door. On Monday, as Ronnie’s calling Joel, Dawn tells her that the speed dating posters have arrived. Ricky reveals that he’s looking forward to the speed dating event but Bianca laughs at his interest. Dawn, meanwhile, is preparing for her engagement party, however, Ronnie’s friendly nature disappears when Dawn suggests that she bring along a date.
Outside the Minute Mart, Ronnie comes face to face with Archie and tells him that he’s banned from the party that evening. Archie’s dismissive of her and suggests that she’d better get used to him being around and adds that she’s “living in the past”.
Later, Joel wanders into the Vic, much to Ronnie’s delight. He’s confused though when she suggests that they catch up – he thought he was there on business… Read more & comment »

On Monday, Dawn receives an odd text message at the station and looks around with concern. Garry, meanwhile, is in good spirits that Dawn’s back, but she’s not in a cuddling mood. With Garry gone, Dawn turns to Minty and asks if he sent her a text message.
Denying that he did, he goes on to ask if she’s made a decision yet. Later, Dawn shows Phil the message she received which says, ‘I know your secret’ and she’s shocked to learn that he got the same text. As they share a cuddle, Tracey nearly walks in on them. Later, Max shows Phil the exact same message on his phone.
In the Vic, Minty gives Dawn half an hour to choose between Garry and Phil. Pushed for an answer, Dawn explains that it’s more complicated than she thought because she loves them both. Dawn finally confides in Phil that Minty knows about their affair, before revealing that she loves him and is choosing him over Garry. Phil knocks her back though, reminding her that he’s only her ‘bit on the side’ and nothing more. As Garry makes his way to the Vic, he nearly catches Dawn and Phil together, again.
