
Samia Smith may be playing a pregnant woman in ITV soap opera, Coronation Street, but the actress has no wish to have children of her own any time soon!
Samia has been married to husband Matt since 2005, but insists that they are not yet feeling the urge to procreate.
Samia, 25, said: “Matt and I are fine as we are and our parents don’t nag us, either. They’re not pushing us to give them grandchildren or anything - they just leave us to it.

“Matt and I have my nephews and nieces to stay and we just love having them over. It’s like a trial run, but we get to give them back the next day! But we haven’t any plans to have a baby yet. There are enough people around having babies!” Read More »

Coronation Street actress, Katherine Kelly, has promised viewers some Rovers action once she steps behind the bar.
Katherine plays Becky Grainger in the soap, and Becky will become the 50th Rovers barmaid to be hired.

Coronation Street actress, Samia Smith is about to embark on a msaaive Corrie storyline which sees her pregnancy ending in devastation as she suffers a stillbirth.
In an interview with The Sun, Samia revealed that a lot of the inspiration for how she acted out the storyline came from her mother who once suffered the same tragedy.
“It’s the most challenging storyline I’ve ever had,” Samia told The Mirror.. “It was awful. No aspect of it is nice.
“When I confided in Mum she just looked at me and said, ‘I can’t believe it - the exact same thing happened to me 30 odd years ago.’ She told me that before my brother and I were born she’d been pregnant with a son. Coronation Street actress Maggie Jones, who plays battle-axe Blanche Hunt, is in hospital after a fall.
The 73-year-old actress injured her knee and shoulder when she fell at Manchester’s luxury Marriott Manchester Victoria & Albert Hotel, where she lives when she is filming.

A house swap is on the cards in Corrie, as the Peacocks and the Websters decide to make a move.
The Websters need more room for their two teenage daughters, and the Peacocks just need to claw back some money as their business begins to go under. However, in soap land things never go to plan and this move sparks yet another street feud!
After the couples agree to sell their houses without the aid of an estate agent Sally hears Claire calling the her home “a slum”, and she is furious! She declares: “I suppose you’ll be getting the bulldozers in when you move. After all, you won’t want to live in a slum, will you?”
The two women almost come to blows, and Sally pulls out of the deal.
Eventually Claire comes to her senses but decides that the time has come to formalise matters:
“This has become too personal and nasty. I realise now that trying to cut out the middleman to save money was stupid, and all we’re doing is arguing.

In Coronation Street this week Janice discovers that Leanne was behind the burning down of her restaurant and that she is letting Paul take the blame from the police. So she tells her step daughter to sling her hook and find somewhere else to live!

Coronation Street actor, Craig Charles has been offered a new three year contract with the show.
Craig, who plays Lloyd Mullaney on the ITV soap opera was suspended last year after the tabloids reported on his drink and drug problems, however Craig is said to have gotten his life back on track and Corrie bosses believe he is an integral character on the show.

Corrie bosses have today spoken out about claims made by Jack P Shepherd that David Platt would be embarking on a gay relationship whilst locked up in a young offenders unit.

Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton was attacked at Aintree racecourse last Friday.
An onlooker told the Sunday Mirror: “Antony was being called names but was determined to enjoy the day. Then after he left his private box a drunken racegoer made a lunge at him.”
A Corrie spokesman said: “There was no homophobic element to the name-calling.”
Cotton was escorted from the grounds by police but decided not to make a formal complaint about the attack. He said: “We had an amazing day.”
