Coronation Street: Scenes Had To Be Reshot Due To Rude T Shirt

Coronation Street bosses were forced to reshoot some of this weeks scenes after Jack P Shepherd (aka David Platt) wore a rude t shirt on set.

A source said: “It was spotted by our compliance department, who look for anything that breaches guidelines.

“They then made us go back and re-shoot the entire episode. It airs on Monday, so we were cutting everything very fine.

“The knock-on effect is incredible because everyone is now running behind.” Read more & comment »

Coronation Street: Helen Flanagan Loves Her Curves

Coronation Street actress, Helen Flanagan, has admitted that she has made a concious effort to put some weight so that she can be a better role model for her fans.

Flanagan, who plays Rosie Webster on the soap, admits that she dropped to a size eight last year, but decided to put some weight back on as she felt too skinny.

Alison King Struggled To Become The B**ch Of Coronation Street

Alison King has admitted that she first found it difficult to play the role of Carla Connor on ITV soap, Coronation Street.

“I was uncomfortable playing a constant bitch at first. I’m getting into it now but I’m not as nasty or as cocky as Carla,” Alison told the Sunday Mail. “She’s bloody horrible to anyone she perceives to be a rival. I couldn’t be like that.

“It is quite funny, though. I’ve got this hard glare I keep giving Rob but it puts him off his lines. He says he can’t do them because I’m being horrible to him.” Read more & comment »

Coronation Street: Old Extras Axed!!!

Some of the older residents of Coronation Street are up in arms as bosses of the ITV soap are replacing them with younger sexier extras!

Last night one extra told The Sun: “We’re really annoyed. We’ve been professional and loyal to the show for years but it seems it’s a one-way street.

“The new lot are inexperienced and make the actors feel uncomfortable by asking for autographs.” But a show source argued bosses had to refresh the extras to reflect real life. Coronation Street: Rita Accepts Tony’s Offer

Tony (Gray O’Brien) is delighted when Rita (Barbara Knox) tells him that she will accept his offer - subject to a proper valuation. Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) is not happy with Rita’s decision but knows that he won’t be able to change her mind. Meanwhile Tony tells Carla (Alison King) that he is now going to make a move on Kevin (Michale Le Vell). He’s not impressed however when Kevin turns him down flat saying the business is worth a million pounds. It looks like Tony will have his work cut out persuading Kevin to see sense and sell up. Vernon (Ian Reddington) is still reeling from Liz’s (Beverly Callard) decision not to run the bar with him but he is stunned when she tells him that coming to view the bar has proved to her that she also wants out of the marriage. He tries to persuade her not to throw everything away but she tearfully confesses that she should never have married him.

Tony (Gray O’Brien) and Carla (Alison King) discuss how to play Rita (Barbara Knox) and Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) and wonder whether to wine and dine them. In the end they decide to stay on home territory at the Rovers and plan their strategy to try and win them round. Coronation Street: Liam Connor To Get Murdered

Liam Connor is to meet a brutal end on Coronation Street later this year. His murder will be carried out by one of three street regulars on a revenge bid, and a whodunnit storyline will emerge after his death.

A soap source told The Mirror: “Rob actually wanted his character to be killed off - a bit like Phil Middlemiss did when he also wanted the demise of his character, bookie Des Barnes.

“But at the same time it provides us with the fantastic opportunity to give the viewers some sensational TV. The producers are rubbing their hands at the prospect of the whole murder scenario.” Read more & comment »

On tonight’s Corrie Leanne (Jane Danson) is still furious with Michelle (Kym Ryder) as she heads home with Janice (Vicky Entwistle). When Dan (Matthew Crompton) discovers what has gone on at the pub he insists on taking Leanne back there to front up Michelle. In front of a packed pub Dan takes great delight in telling Michelle that Leanne can’t have been with Steve as she was at the hospital all night worrying about him.

A shame faced Michelle can’t believe she has made such a fool of herself and Liz (Beverly Callard) takes great delight in the fact that Steve’s name has been cleared. Read more & comment »

Coronation Street: Becky Starts As Rovers Barmaid

Coronation Street’s Becky Grainger is to start as the Rovers Return’s 50th barmaid this week.

Becky was offered the job by Michelle Connor, whose boyfriend Becky slept with earlier this month.

Becky accepts the job, but gets into a row with Roy when she hands in her resignation.

Cornation Street: John Stape Returns

Coroantion Street love rat, John Stape is set to return to the street in a bid to rekindle his romance with Fiz.

John left the street after he was found to be sleeping with teenager, Rosie Webster, and was beat up by her dad Kevin.

However according to The Daily Star John lands a job in street cabs and then buys Chesney a bike in a bid to win Fiz back.

Of course Fiz isn’t happy! She fumes: “How dare you use a kid to worm your way back into my life! Get it through your thick head that I’m not interested in you. And if you ever come near me or Chesney again I swear to God I’ll call the police.” Read more & comment »
