David Beckham has been cut to even money for a Knighthood this year with Ladbrokes.
The firm have seen a flood of money for Becks to made a Sir following his retirement, and it’s now just even money it happens within a year, or it’s 1/4 he’s given the honour at any time in his life.
It’s been reported today that BFFs David Beckham and TV chef Gordon Ramsay are to open a restaurant together.
Of the new eatery, which will apparently be in London, David told The Sun of his business deal with Gordon, “We’ve got something in the pipeline. We are obviously good friends and we are excited about a project that could happen pretty soon.”
He added, “It will be a business thing but owning a restaurant is going to be fun as well.”
And of learning to cook himself, David recently said, “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always loved cooking.
“I’d love to cook for Gordon and I definitely will one day.”
The enterprise will doubtless be one that Gordon hopes goes better than his former working relationship with his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson, which ended in the courts and caused a massive rift within the family… Read more & comment »
As he channels his inner David Beckham, Paul Daniels chats to this week’s Closer about being a ladies’ man and keeping the spark alive with wife Debbie after 33 years.
The 74-year-old magician is no stranger to posing as Becks – he and wife Debbie famously stripped off for Closer to replicate David and Victoria’s Armani underwear ad in 2009. Asked what he and “Golden Balls” have in common, the 5ft 5 showbiz veteran quickly replies: “We’ve both got lovely wives. Although I’m sure he’s very jealous of my manly physique…”
Paul is clearly a fan of David and fondly recalls the time he and Debbie, 53, met the footballer in Manchester in 2005. “He was with the kids and his missus, and surrounded by all this security. But he was very charming and very normal,” he says. Paul and Debbie, who’s also his long-time stage assistant, even named one of their pets after the pin-up couple’s baby daughter, Harper Seven. “We called our bunny Hopper Seven. That’s our little tribute to the Beckhams.”
Paul – who married Debbie in 1988 – reveals how he snagged his dream woman: “I proposed to Debbie by saying, ‘I’m not very good looking, I’m not very tall and I am going to go bald. But marry me and it will never be boring.’ And it never has.
“We work together and that means we know each other inside out. I never take her for granted and I still find her amazing. I make sure we kiss every day and buy her flowers when she least expects it.”

As fans of Gordon Ramsay will know, on Christmas Day, he’s hosting and presenting a live cookalong from his home – that will air on Channel 4 – which means he won’t be on hand to cook for David and Victoria Beckham.
So, to make amends, and to ensure they don’t end up with burned turkey, Gordon has prepared a Christmas dinner blueprint for the famous couple, complete with a recipe for every part of the big meal.
The Daily Mirror reports that Gordon’s instructions for the big day’s meal are “a fool’s guide” which also contains lots of insider tricks of the trade from the Michelin starred chef.

Comedian James Corden has revealed that he once nearly touched David Beckham’s undercarriage while the pair shared a bath together for a Comic Relief sketch.
James made the humorous revelation in his new autobiography which is entitled, May I Have Your Attention Please. Extracts from the book are being serialized in The Sun.
Of his rather close brush with Beckham, James wrote, “In the bath, we were both sitting there, having a chat about anything and everything.

Victoria Beckham has reportedly been inundated with gifts and products since she announced she was pregnant with her fourth child and insiders claim that the new mum has already donated thousands of pounds worth of baby gear to local charities.
The former Spice Girl singer gave birth to her first daughter Harper Seven Beckham last week and is already said to have a fortune’s worth of freebies to good causes, after stores and brands of baby goods became desperate to have their product associated with the famous family.

David Beckham was involved in a minor car crash on Friday but thankfully escaped major injury.
The football star was driving his Cadillac SUV in Torrence, California, when he rammed into the back of a stationary vehicle. His twelve year old son Brooklyn was also in the car and though neither was injured, the driver of the other vehicle complained of minor neck pain as a result of the incident and was taken to a local hospital.
A California Highway Patrol spokesperson stated: “This collision occurred when his [David's] black Cadillac collided with the rear of a disabled gold Mitsubishi which was stalled in the carpool lane due to mechanical problems.
David Beckham has admitted that he is a huge fan of funny TV shows Glee and Modern Family.
The football star revealed that he and wife Victoria enjoy watching Glee and told E! online:
Jonathan Ross is determined to go out with a bang when he leaves the BBC next month and has booked football star David Beckham for his final show.
Ross had been hoping to have his old pal Russell Brand on the show, despite the fact that their Sachsgate scandal is most likely the cause of him losing his job with BBC in the first place. However big wigs banned Russell from joining the lineup so Goldenballs will take his place.
Gordon Ramsay has admitted that he would love to open a restaurant with his pals David and Victoria Beckham.
The celebrity chef, who cooked Christmas dinner for the couple and their families, told Bang Showbiz: “We had a great time together – a lot of fun and a lot of laughs – cooking and having fun. So maybe one day we will have a restaurant together! Who knows?”
David Beckham has become the latest in a long line of stars to appear on children’s TV show, Sesame Street.
David recorded an episode last week in which he introduced the word ‘persistence’ to Elmo.
