Former Friends actor, David Schwimmer has reportedly signed up for the new TV series of BBC’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are’.

The Sun reports that the 42 year old hopes to trace his family heritage back to Eastern Europe.

“It’s a tribute to the show that A-list stars are lining up to appear on Who Do You Think You Are?,” said a source.

Former Friends actor, David Schwimmer has said that a movie of the series is NOT in the pipeline despite persistent rumours.

“I’d like to say in regard to the rumours that - I think are only perpetuated by the press - there’s never been any talk of a Friends film, at least as far as I know,” he told Parade.com.

David revealed that he rarely even thinks about the show unless he is asked about it.

Former Friends actor, David Schwimmer, has been tipped as one of the new directors for Little Britain USA.

David will direct the Los Angeles studio segments of the show, other parts will be directed by Michael Patrick Jann.

According to Variety, the series is based on the original Uk show starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, but the setting has been changed to reflect contemporary America in a mix of segments shot on location and in a studio.
