Yes I know that was a very lame play on words but my life, this show really was an awesome feat of make-up and effects. It had everything; a good storyline – albeit a tad vague because we didn’t find out why everyone became zombies, we just had to accept that they did – and truly amazing effects, good humour and a strong ending.
Patrick and Pippa make a desperate bid for freedom. Riq and Alex face unimaginable peril. Joplin thinks he’s worked out what’s happening. And the undead are still arriving…

I was in the crowd the night they filmed the fake eviction, so if you look closely, right beside the stairs which Pippa descends, you might just see me screaming my head off!
The coming week in tellyland sees the start of several new and much touted series but personally, I cannot wait for the new mini-series Dead Set to start next Monday 27th on E4 at 10pm. Big Brother host Davina McCall is to make a sensational cameo appearance in forthcoming E4 horror series Dead Set.
The five-part zombie thriller is set in a fictional Big Brother house which is increasingly under threat from the blood thirsty masses. Davina plays herself as the horrific events unfold during an eviction night. Viewers will be shocked to see Davina meet a very grisly end. But her appearance doesn’t end there…
Dead Set is written by acclaimed writer Charlie Brooker, who is well known for his columns in The Guardian and his BBC Four series Charlie Brooker’s Screen Wipe.
Dead Set is a new Zombie drama coming soon to E4. The show is set in the Big Brother house, and only those housemates still on the show are safe from the rampaging zombies who are killing all round them in the outside world.

Real blood was spilled on the set of E4’s new zombie BB spoof show, Dead Set, when one of its stars, Jaime Winstone, hurt her eye.
The actress – who plays zombie-killer Kelly in the series – told The Sun that the accident happened when a stunt went wrong during filming.
“It really freaked me out – but we got the shot!”

Charlie Brooker, TV critic and host of BBC Four’s Screenwipe, is to write a six part horror series titled ‘Dead Set’ for digital TV channel E4.
Charlie revealed that Dead Set would be “very different to anything I’ve done before”.
“I hope the end result will surprise, entertain and appal in equal measure.”
The six-part thriller, will reach our screens at the end of this year and will be produced by Zeppotron, a division of Big Brother producers Endemol. Read more & comment »
