In next week’s episodes of EastEnders, the road to true love takes a turn for the rocky when Denise Fox (Diane Parish) insults her new beau Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) however, she only does so in order to keep their romance on the down low…

The drama begins when both Denise and Ian are in the pub, and Alfie (Shane Richie) is teasing Ian, convinced that there’s a new woman in his life.

Ian Beale and Denise Fox have been flirting to and fro for a while now, however, in next week’s episodes, we’ll see them spending the night together, albeit in somewhat unusual circumstances after they get locked in at the Minute Mart!

The comedic drama begins on Wednesday, March 6th when Denise (Diane Parish) goes to see Ian (Adam Woodyatt) to thank him for having a chat with housebound Patrick (Rudolph Walker).

However, when Ian tries to pay Denise a compliment, he fluffs it, leaving Denise somewhat insulted instead. So in an effort to make up for the gaffe, Ian later goes to the Minute Mart to buy chocolates for Denise, and all’s going well until Ian remarks that as neither of them are getting any younger, and unlikely to get any better offers, perhaps they should hook up… Read more & comment »

In forthcoming episodes of EastEnders, Denise Fox and Ian Beale are set to become more than just friends, and it’s a plot twist that’s taken actress Diane Parish, who of course plays Denise, completely by surprise!

Speaking to Inside Soap, Diane – who’s starred on the show since 2006 – said, “I didn’t see this coming at all!

“When the bosses first told me, I think there must have been some tumbleweed and a few crickets chirping – my reaction was like, ‘Eh?’

“But then I was overjoyed because Adam Woodyatt [who plays Ian] is one of the best actors in the show.

Fans of EastEnders will know that Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) has been reliant on Denise and Kim Fox since his accident, and being the proud man he is, not being able to do things for himself is taking a toll on him…

However, when things come to a head for frustrated invalid Patrick next week, he’ll act completely out of character when he lashes out at Denise (Diane Parish) knocking her to the floor and cutting her face in the process!

The drama begins on Thursday, February 28th when a bored Patrick persuades Denise to take him out to the café for breakfast, however, while they’re there, Patrick’s furious when Denise cuts up his food, and declaring that he’s sick of being treated like a child, he demands to be taken home. As fans of EastEnders will know, poor Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) has had a nasty fall, following which he was hospitalized, but when he learns that he’s going to need a lot of help when he goes home, proud and independent Patrick is devastated…

And as we’ll see next week, fearing that he’d be a burden on Denise and Kim Fox, Patrick will tell them that he’s going to go and live with his son Anthony in Scotland. Fans of EastEnders will know that in an episode last week, Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) shared a passionate kiss with Denise Fox (Diane Parish) after she’d become upset about the fact that her life seems to be going nowhere and that she remains single.

At the time, Denise reciprocated the kiss, even though Ray is of course her sister Kim’s boyfriend, however, in the cold light of the following day, she told Ray that it meant nothing and must never happen again.

However, in Monday’s trip to Walford, we’re set to see Kim (Tameka Empson) telling Denise that she had thought Ray was going to propose to her, and adds that she’s gutted that he hasn’t.

As fans of EastEnders may know, in the New Year, Ray Dixon and singleton Denise Fox are going to share a kiss, but of course, as Ray is dating Denise’s sister Kim, there could well be fireworks ahead if she finds out about it!

The tender moment between Ray and Denise happens after her friend Zainab Masood (Nina Wadia) organises a dinner party for Denise, with the primary objective of finding her a man…

To that end, Zainab invites every eligible bachelor in the Square, and even some – like Ray – who aren’t bachelors!

While discussing the kiss, Chucky Venn, who of course plays Ray, told Digital Spy, “As an actor, I love challenges so I’m looking forward to seeing how this storyline develops.”

Realizing that he’s in direct competition with Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) and Alfie (Shane Richie) for sales of Christmas wares on the market, Derek (Jamie Foreman) laid down the gauntlet saying that he was so sure he’d sell the most, if he didn’t, he’d hand over his Christmas Eve takings to Fatboy and Alfie.

However, that of course means that if Fats and Alfie don’t sell as much Derek does in the run up to Christmas, they have to hand over their money from Christmas Eve sales to him.

The whole Who’s Having An Affair With Kat Moon storyline has gone on for about 23 years now, and from a starting line up for five suspects – who were Michael Moon, Ray Dixon and all three Branning brothers – we’re now down to a choice of Max, Derek or Jack Branning…

However, as we saw a few weeks ago, Kat (Jessie Wallace) confessed the affair to long-suffering husband Alfie (Shane Richie) and he – of course – forgave her transgression yet again, given that she vowed it was over.

But of course, she refused to tell Alfie who her lover was/is, and has since dedicated herself to righting the wrongs in her marriage.

But a furious Zainab (Nina Wadia) initially blames Tamwar (Himesh Patel) for the disaster that’s befallen their bank accounts, but rather than tell her the truth, which is of course that Syed caused the whole sorry mess, he keeps quiet and takes his mother’s verbal bashing.

However, when Zainab launches herself at Tamwar, she has to be pulled off the poor lad by AJ (Phaldut Sharma) and Christian (John Partridge) but when Christian goes looking for Syed, intent on making him tell Zainab the truth, he’s shocked to find he’s left!

As fans of EastEnders will know, Billy Mitchell’s granddaughter Lola is heavily pregnant, but the prospect of becoming a mum soon hasn’t calmed her down a whole lot, and in Monday’s visit to the Square, we’ll see her playing a prank on Denise (Diane Parish) that could well backfire on her!

We have a spoiler clip for you, and news of some schedule changes next week after the jump, but first, on the subject of Lola (Danielle Harold) pranking Denise, the bored mum to be pretends to go into labour in the café, and a shocked Denise is just about to call an ambulance – given she thinks Lola’s waters have broken – when Lola reveals a bottle of water she was hiding to carry out the joke.
