Will Derren’s ambitious final event see him win one viewer £175,000 as he puts a member of the public’s money at stake on a casino roulette wheel? After successfully predicting the lottery, Derren plays lady luck again, taking an unsuspecting viewer on a heart-stopping journey as they watch him gamble £5,000 of their savings on the single spin of a roulette wheel. The lucky (or unlucky) viewer won’t even know it’s their cash until Derren calls them.

A viewer of Derren Borwon’s ‘How To Control The Nation’ claims that he was stuck to his chair for a whole night.
Brown attempted to stick people to their seats, but at the end of the show played a video to release those under his influence. Johnathan Whitfeld, 26, has claimed that only the first video worked on him.
He claims that he was stuck to his sofa all night, and his girlfriend Katie Dunn, 23, who missed the show went to bed after assuming that he was joking.
The American and Russian governments spent millions of dollars in the 1960s on research into the principle of remote viewing – the ability to see and describe an object that is hidden from view. In the third of The Events, Derren Brown puts this theory to the test on a grand scale.

In the third of The Events , Derren Brown puts this theory to the test on a grand scale. Derren performs an ambitious nationwide experiment with viewers able to text and email their results. In this programme he attempts to project a single image into all of our minds. At the end of the show, the image itself will be revealed, to see how it compares to the one produced by viewers.

In How to Control the Nation, Derren’s second Event, he explores the world of subliminal messaging. In tomorrow’s show, Derren demonstrates how affecting people’s environment can affect their behaviour. In this case, how placing dozens and dozens of subliminal messages in shop windows and around a shopping centre, could make people behaviour more generously.
Derren Brown returns for another spectacular interactive Friday night special. In this episode Derren will attempt to control the nation and literally have viewers stuck to their sofa as he speaks live to participating viewers at home.

Ever since Derren Brown made those predictions, the interweb has been going crazy with theorists claiming to know just how it was done.
One of my favourite suggestions was made in the video above. Do you think this is how Brown achieved it?
Last night Derren Brown correctly predicted the lottery numbers but just how did he do it?! There’s already lots of speculation about how he predicted the numbers but the only way to find out is by watching the show this Friday 9pm.
You have got to watch Derren Brown ‘The Events’ this Wednesday. For the launch of his new series he has promised to predict that night’s winning lottery numbers and I am hoping to learn just how he does it.
Check out the clip above to hear more about the series and watch the show at 9pm, this Wednesday on Channel 4.
Doing an interview with someone who can’t talk freely about their latest project can be problematic. Especially, if you’re interviewing them about, um, their latest project. But when the person being interviewed is Derren Brown, the extraordinary psychological illusionist, you have to accept that normal rules don’t apply. You can also be sure that, when the series does come along, you’ll spend much of it with your jaw on the floor. This is the man who has done much to make the world of magic and illusions cool again, following the hackneyed routines of a generation of TV magicians in ill-fitting brown velvet suits.
Derren Brown returns to Channel 4 this autumn with The Events – his most ambitious undertaking to date. Derren’s previous stunts have seen him cheat death playing Russian Roulette; convince people to rob an armoured security van; and beat the bookies with a foolproof horse race gambling system.
At the Garrick Theatre in London at the end of his recent, sold-out nationwide tour, Derren Brown recorded a special version of his live stage show, Evening of Wonders, in front of C4’s cameras. The internationally acclaimed psychological illusionist takes the theatre audience and viewers on a journey that climaxes with the most astonishing mind reading. The show features audience participation, shocking stunts and mind games, as Derren demonstrates why he is one of the country’s most exciting live performers.
