Doctor Who: Steven Moffat says he is “humbled” by fans who kept The Name of the Doctor secret!

After what could have been a complete disaster for Doctor Who producers when a US shipment of series 7 boxsets, including the series 7 finale, was accidentally delivered to a handful of fans weeks before schedule, and two weeks before the final had even aired on TV.

Desperate to keep the details of the series finale quiet, including the hint that the Doctor’s biggest secret would be revealed, show runner Steven Moffat literally begged those lucky enough (or unlucky enough, depending on which way you look at it), to keep schtum, even promising rewards if the ‘secret’ was kept out of the media.

Doctor Who Spoilers: The Name of the Doctor – new pictures released from BBC!

With only one day left to go to the series 7 finale of Doctor Who, the BBC have released more pictures of what we can expect.

Guest starring Alex Kingston as River Song, Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra, Dan Starkey as Strax, and Catrin Stewart as Jenny, The Name of the Doctor will see Clara summoned to an impossible conference call, alerting her that the deadly Whisper Men are closing in on Vastra, Jenny and Strax.

Doctor Who Spoilers: Warwick Davis hopeful for show return (VIDEO)!

After his Doctor Who debut last Saturday, Life’s Too Short star, Warwick Davis, has revealed that he would love to make a return to the show!

Davis, who is one of stars made big by British comic Ricky Gervais, appeared during last Saturday’s Doctor Who episode, Nightmare In Silver, as Porridge – a chess master who had converted a deactivated Cyberman into a chess-playing machine at an abandoned theme park.

Coleman, who plays Clara Oswald in the hit BBC family sci-fi entertainment show, has admitted in a recent interview with Radio Times how she finds being alone with people scary.

It would seem that the action is set to get pretty intense in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special episode, as the Sun newspaper has today printed pictures of Jenna-Louise Coleman’s stunt double, who is a man!

Fans of the hit BBC sci-fi family entertainment show will know how this November, to mark the show’s landmark 5oth year, Doctor Who is broadcasting a special anniversary episode.

Doctor Who Prequel to air before series finale!

As if the Doctor Who series 7 finale wasn’t exciting enough, the BBC has revealed that there will be a Doctor Who prequel available via red button for the week leading up to it!

According to Radio Times, the episode, entitled He Said, She Said, will feature both the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his new companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman) in a dream like style as they both talk directly to the camera, discussing how well they really know one another.

Doctor Who: See four new and awesome poster art images for series 7 episodes!

This morning the t’interweb is flooded with four newly released poster art images that promote the forthcoming seventh series of Doctor Who, which of course begins on BBC One at 7.20pm on Saturday the 1st of September. So naturally, we have them all for you – as well as the one above – after the jump.

As you’ll see, the new cinematic posters tease episodes two to five of the new series – the debut episode is of course Asylum of the Daleks – which are, Dinosaurs On A Spaceship, A Town Called Mercy, The Power Of Three and The Angels Take Manhattan.

And of course, the series of Doctor Who is leading up to the show’s highly anticipated 50th anniversary special, which is set to be a 90 minute extravaganza that celebrates the show from its inception to present day… Read more & comment »

Doctor Who: All you need to know for the new series, which begins on Saturday 1 September!

Fans of Doctor Who have of course been eagerly awaiting the news as to when the new series would begin, and the BBC have now confirmed that the first episode, entitled Asylum of the Daleks, will air on Saturday 1 September at 7:20pm.

But as to the show airing here, it will of course clash with The X Factor, and no doubt both ITV and BBC bosses will be desperately awaiting the viewing figures verdict in their p****ing contest, which happens whenever major shows go head to head in the timeslots.

However, of the premiere episode, those lucky enough to have had a preview screening of Asylum of the Daleks’ have had nothing but good things to say about it, even given that they’re sworn to secrecy over the majority of what happens in the episode…We were there and we have to be very careful about what we tell you! Doctor Who creator Steven Moffat reveals new dinosaur foes and series 7 episode titles!

Doctor Who’s executive producer Steven Moffat has teased that in the new series, the Time Lord is set to face a new foe in the form of dinosaurs!

We’ll see the hulking great enemies of the Doc during the second episode of series seven, which is set to be entitled, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.

Of the logistics of fitting pre-historic behemoths into the Tardis, Steven told the Sun, “Dinosaurs On A Spaceship – what more do you need!

“The Doctor will come face to face with some of the most monstrous creatures evolution has ever produced, on some of the most monstrous sets we have ever built.

“We took one look at the brilliant script and said to ourselves, ‘We’re going to need a bigger corridor…’” Read more & comment »

Doctor Who star Matt Smith says series 7 will air on the BBC in August!

It’s been reported today that Doctor Who star Matt Smith has let revealed that the highly anticipated seventh series of the Time Lord’s adventures will debut on the BBC in August!

Speaking to press at San Diego’s Comic-Con yesterday, Matt – who was part of the panel for TV Guide Magazine’s Fan Favourites – also confirmed that the first episode of series seven is entitled, Asylum of the Daleks.

The very first screening of Asylum of the Daleks will take place at the BFI Southbank in London on August 14th, and it’ll also be shown at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, which runs from August 23 to August 25.

And if it follows suit from last year, when series six opener Let’s Kill Hitler was screened at the Festival, then Asylum of the Daleks should air on the BBC the following day… Read more & comment »

Doctor Who cast spotted filming in a Welsh graveyard!


The Daily Mail reports today that several members of the cast of Doctor Who were recently spotted filming scenes for the forthcoming series seven in what the paper describes as “a spooky Welsh graveyard.”

And among those cast members was Alex Kingston, who of course plays River Song, who’s evidently back for what is the final series for Karen Gillan and for her character, Amy Pond.

Joining Karen and Alex on set was Matt Smith, who of course plays the Doctor, and Arthur Darvill, who plays Rory Williams, who’s also been written out of the show during the new series… Read more & comment »
