With the wedding of the year turning into the murder of the year in Hollyoaks last week, Channel 4 has released footage from the filming of the big day.

As fans of the hit Channel 4 soap will know, Texas Longford ended up being pushed from a hotel window on her wedding day to Will Savage.

As we reported earlier this week, John Paul McQueen’s career is set to hang in the balance in Hollyoaks when a practical joke he plays on new sixth form headmaster, Patrick Blake, backfires.

John Paul (James Sutton) and new potential love interest, Doug Carter (PJ Brennan) decide, after an afternoon of drinking, to cover Patrick’s (Jeremy Sheffield) car with post it notes, unaware that the whole thing is being photographed by Callum Kane (Laurie Duncan) and Hollyoaks newcomer, Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham).

Given the circumstances that saw him leave, Doug Carter’s return to Hollyoaks was always going to be a tense one!

Fans of the hit Channel 4 soap last saw Doug (PJ Brennan) leaving, broken-hearted, to start a new life in America last year.

The new start had initially been for him and his new husband, Ste (Kieron Richardson) and his children, but when Doug realised that Ste still had feelings for his ex, Brendan Brady (Emmett J. Scanlan) he made the selfless decision to set him free and headed home to his sick father in the States alone.

So, it’s the week all Hollyoaks fans have been waiting for as the already epic new storyline, which will see the soap tackle its biggest stunt to date as Maddie Morrison ploughs a mini bus carrying the sixth formers straight into the double wedding ceremony of Doug Carter, Ste Hay, Cindy Cunningham and Tony Hutchinson, and having watched the next episode, Unreality TV can tell you what to expect tomorrow night!

Fans of the hit show who have been following our coverage will already know how the mini bus, originally being loaded up Brendan (Emmett J Scanlan) with the wedding cakes, is hijacked by Maddie Morrison (Scarlet Bowman) in order to drive Ruby and her fiancée, Jono (Dylan Llewellyn) to Gretna Green to get married. When they realise that the cakes are in the bus, they decided to do the right thing and drive them to the wedding marquee, but when Bart (Johnny Clarke) and Esther (Jazmine Franks) try and force the bus off the road to try and stop the teenagers eloping, disaster strikes.
