When the death of Elisabeth Sladen was sadly announced last week, many fans wondered what would become of her TV show, The Sarah Jane Adventures.
The 63 year old star passed away after a battle with cancer and the BBC had only filmed half of the fifth series of the Doctor Who spinoff, which was due to air later this year.
However, today insiders claims that the show will go on and bosses will rewrite the scripts for the final six episodes and dedicate the series to Elisabeth.

David Tennant has spoken out about his upset after finding out that Elisabeth Sladen had died.
The 63 year old actress lost her battle with cancer yesterday morning and ever since the tributes have been pouring in.
Elisabeth was best known as Doctor Who’s Sarah Jane Smith and Tennant acted opposite her in four episodes between 2006 and 2010. He also starred in a 2009 episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which Sladen fronted.

Russell T Davies has paid tribute to the recently deceased Elisabeth Sladen.
It was reported yesterday that the 63 year old actress, best known as Doctor Who’s Sarah Jane Smith, had passed away after a battle with cancer.
The former showrunner and creator of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which was fronted by Elisabeth, spoke to BBC News last night and paid an emotional tribute to his friend.

Tom Baker has expressed his devastation at Elisabeth Sladen’s untimely death.
It was reported last night that the 63 year old actress had passed away after a battle with cancer. She was best known as Doctor Who character Sarah Jane Smith and played opposite Baker – the fourth incarnation of the timelord – in 1974.

Stars have started paying tributes to Doctor Who’ star Elisabeth Sladen, who passed away last night.
The 63-year-old actress died after a protracted battle with cancer, leaving behind husband Brian Miller and their 26-year-old daughter Sadie. The star shot to fame as assistant Sarah Jane Smith in the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who from 1973 to 1976 alongside Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. She later went on to star in CBBC spinoff show The Sarah Jane Chronicles.
‘Doctor Who’ writer and creator of ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ spin-off show – which Elisabeth also starred in – Russell T Davies led the tributes, saying: “I absolutely loved Lis. She was funny and cheeky and clever and just simply wonderful.”

We were saddened to learn that Elisabeth Sladen had died, aged 63, this evening.
The actress was said to be suffering with cancer for quite a while before her death and since the official announcement, tributes from her friends and colleagues have been pouring in.
The actress is best known for her role of Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who, a part which she played from 1973 to 1976 alongside Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.
In a statement, the BBC said: “It is with much sadness that we can announce Elisabeth Sladen, the much-loved actress best known for her role as Sarah Jane Smith in ‘Doctor Who’ and CBBC’s ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, passed away this morning. She was 63.”

The 63 year old actress passed away this evening, and insiders say she had been battling cancer for some time.

Russell T Davies has paid tribute to Elisabeth Sladen.
The 63 year old actress passed away earlier this evening, after her battle with cancer came to an end.
She was best known as Doctor Who’s Sarah Jane Smith and played the role of the timelord’s assistant on and off from 1973. Her last appearance on the main show was in 2010, when she was featured in a cameo appearance on David Tennant’s final episode ‘End Of Time.’
Davies worked with Elisabeth on Doctor who from 2006 and later on CBBC’s The Sarah Jane Adventures. He wrote the spin off show and she fronted it for four series, the fifth was half filmed and was supposed to air later this year.

We were shocked and saddened by the news tonight that Elisabeth Sladen had passed away.
The 63 year old actress is of course best known as Doctor Who character Sarah Jane Smith, as she played the role on numerous times over the last four decades.
Her last appearance on Doctor Who was on David Tennant’s final episode in 2010, titled ‘End Of Time. For more details on her comebacks over the years click here.
