Emmerdale’s Alex Carter said his romantic moment with co-star Sian Reece-Williams was his worst ever kiss because she’s dating his best friend in real life.
Alex plays Jamie Hope, and has recently started dating Sian’s character Gennie Walker.
He told Reveal magazine: “It was horrible – it was the worst kiss I’ve ever had.”
On Monday, Mark’s clearly agitated about Faye and is taking it out on the rest of the family. When he makes the decision to cancel his golfing trip, Natasha isn’t happy and demands he stop acting as though he’s jealous. Mark covers that he’s concerned for Ryan and when Natasha says that Faye’s only toying with him, he hesitantly agrees to go on his trip.
Later, Natasha confronts a defiant Faye in The Woolpack toilets, telling her she’s pathetic and that Cain will use her for whatever he can get and then toss her aside. Back at the bar, Cain tells Mark, in front of Natasha, that he’s welcome to Faye, adding that she’s nothing more than a “clingy tart”.
Mark rises to the bait and furiously follows Cain out of the pub, ignoring Natasha’s order to stay put. Faye tells him she knows he’s jealous and that he loves her, he’s just not man enough to admit it. Mark’s unable to deny it and she leaves him tormented when she tells him she’s not sure that she’ll still be there when he gets back from his trip. Read more & comment »

In all the years that Viv’s been in Emmerdale, she’s always been something of a comedy character, and that’s ok, up to a point. But I think that point has now been reached, and exceeded, and Viv’s persona – which has become almost a caricature of itself – is now intruding upon the believability of the entire show.
Last night for instance, as Bob and his son Jamie were having a desperate conversation in the pub about Bob’s infidelity with Gennie, and the potential repercussions now Jamie’s knows, Tony Audenshaw and Alex Carter’s performances were top notch; the tension was palpable, the rift wide and in particular, Carter’s portrayal of a son hurt beyond measure was award winning… then Viv arrived. On Monday, Natasha warns Mark that keeping Ryan in the village will cause everything to fall apart and despairs when he refuses to listen and tells her he can’t let his son leave. In the village, Ryan’s excitedly packing his belongings for Dubai and is devastated when Mark arrives and informs him there’s no longer a job there for him.
