As we reported earlier, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) is set to become the victim of a hit and run incident after drunken friends Adam Barton and Robbie Lawson leave her for dead at the side of the road after ploughing into her on a country lane…
However, as soon as Kerry is rushed to hospital, her next of kin, daughter Amy (Chelsea Halfpenny) is informed, and she and Kerry’s anxious ex Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) race to the hospital.

It’s been revealed today that Emmerdale character Laurel Thomas is set to be “brutally attacked” in a vicious car-jacking incident in an upcoming episode!
The drama begins when Laurel, who’s played by Charlotte Bellamy, learns of – and becomes embroiled in – Rhona Kirk’s addiction to painkillers, which will see the troubled vet seeking out drug dealers as her addiction worsens.

It’s been reported today that a study carried out by The Co-Op and Liverpool John Moores University Business School has revealed that 72% of the food characters in our top soaps “ate or talked about” was unhealthy.
According to the Daily Star, the experts who oversaw the study have therefore slammed the various shows for promoting a lifestyle that, for example in the instance of Emmerdale character Eric Pollard – who’s played by Chris Chittell – could see him in an early grave!

It was announced yesterday that Emmerdale actor Richard Thorp – who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 1995 – had died aged 81, and subsequently, the cast and crew of the show, as well as the soap’s fans, have been paying tribute to Richard, who of course played the role of Alan Turner.
Richard had been member of the cast of the ITV soap for over 30 years, and in that time, Alan Turner evolved from being a bombastic bully to one of the show’s most-loved characters.
