In wake of the news that Hollyoaks legend, Emmett J. Scanlan, is leaving the award-winning Channel 4 soap, some of the current cast have expressed their sadness at his departure.

Emmett, who plays the double hard double B moustached monster that is Brendan Brady on the much loved soap, joined the cast of Hollyoaks back in 2010 as the dastardly older half-brother of Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh).

Since joining the show he has been at the centre of many a controversial and cutting edge storyline, including drug dealing, murder and homosexual domestic abuse.

In wake of this week’s shocking news, that Emmett J. Scanlan has decided to quit his iconic role as Brendan Brady on hit Channel 4 soap, Hollyoaks, he has revealed that his character will not go out quietly!

As soon as news hit that Emmett, who has played the double hard double B moustached monster that is Brendan Brady for two and a half years, was leaving the award-winning soap, focus turned to just what sort of exit we could expect from one of the most epic and best loved villains in TV history, and according to the actor, we are not going to be disappointed.

We reported last week how Brendan Brady and Ste Hay had been spotted kissing on location for an upcoming episode of Hollyoaks, causing much speculation over their future relationship.

Emmett J Scanlan and Keiron Richardson, who play Brendan and Ste in the award-winning Channel 4 soap, were spotted in Dublin, loaded with bags, apparently running away together, after the bus crash which is set to rock the village in the middle of Ste’s wedding to Doug.

We are under a week away from this year’s, much-anticipated  Hollyoaks Later, and whilst we all wonder what we have to look forward to, Unreality TV can confirm the main players, and some of the gossip, in this years, deep, dark series.

Fans of the show would have watched the situation surrounding Joel, Brendan and Walker, bubbling away constantly, and would have already enjoyed some of the best storylines and drama from these amazing characters throughout the year so far.  Of course what we know, that Brendan (Emmet J Scanlan) does not necessarily, is that both of these characters are secretly out to get him!  Walker (Neil Newbon) is actually an undercover policeman out to get revenge on him for selling his brother the drugs that has left him brain dead in hospital, which has been made more intense by Friday’s episode when he was advised his brother would not be revived if his condition should worsen.

Hollyoaks beauty, Jorgie Porter has revealed that she is not the biggest fan of her alter-ego, Theresa McQueen‘s skimpy outfits, and how wearing them often makes her blush!

The former Dancing On Ice contestant has played Theresa in the hit Channel 4 soap since 2008, and is about to take her character to a dangerous, more dark place next week as she joins the likes of Brendan Brady (Emmett J. Scanlan), Joel Dexter (Andrew Still), Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh), Walker (Neil Newbon) and Mitzeee Minniver (Rachel Shenton) to the much-anticipated Hollyoaks Later series.
