As fans of ER will know, tonight is the very last time we’ll be entering the doors of County and the last time we’ll get to share in the drama, romance, death, life and everything inbetween of the staff and patients in Chicago’s most famous fictional hospital.
Created by the late author Michael Crichton, ER first aired in 1994 and became the longest-running medical drama in American primetime television history. This was possibly the worst episode of this season in that it was trite, clichéd and full of tales of morality in which everyone ‘learned’ something vital about life; it’s too short, it’s easy to ignore others, helping others is a good thing to do… and yes of course that’s all true but in trying to pass on this Sesame Street attitude to the viewers, the plot lines sucked, as did the entire episode actually.
All of which is a great shame because we’re now so near the end of the season, and all the other episodes have been so good, this was a great disappointment… Read more & comment »

As the last ever season of ER is drawing to a rapid close – there being only two more episodes to go – I’m already missing it; even while I was watching it I was missing it…
In last night’s episode, we said goodbye to Neela, well, at least County did, and most of the way through the show, I was trying to remember where it was she was going… then I couldn’t figure out if we’d been told or not, however, near the end, we found out that we’d deliberately not been told so that the title of this episode would make sense… Read more & comment »

Well I hope you all made the most of last night’s ER because that episode and next week’s will be the last of the Christmases in County’s ER!

In case you missed it, in last night’s episode, as often happens in windy, cold Chicago, a snowstorm left a trail of devastation and injuries in its wake but the ER had to do without Morris and Banfield who got stranded in Omaha so ended up doing a spot of bonding over a drink or ten… Read more & comment »
