Spoilers and clips from The Walking Dead season two return! Plus Sam Witwer on his zombie role

Fans of AMC’s hit zombie drama The Walking Dead will be pleased to hear that season two is to resume in February with an episode entitled, Nebraska.

The eighth episode of season two will be shown first on AMC in America, at 9/8c on Feb 12, 2012, and then shortly after in the UK on FX on February 12.

Whoop! The Walking Dead is renewed for a third season!

Fans of The Walking Dead will surely be delighted to know the show has been renewed by American TV network AMC for a third season.

The second season is currently airing here in the UK on Friday nights at 10pm on FX, with the second episode of the second season broadcasting tomorrow.

Entitled ‘Bloodletting’ we have a sneak peek clip for you after the jump.

But first, AMC announced the good news yesterday when the network’s president, Charlie Collier, issued a statement which read, “Today we are pleased to announce that the ‘dead’ shall live as we proudly renew The Walking Dead for a third season on AMC and, globally, with our terrific partners at Fox International Channels”

FX announces Lights Out premiere!

In January, FX will launch it’s new original series ‘Lights Out’. The boxing drama will make its debut on Tuesday, January 11 on ther US TV network.

Lights Out, from Executive Producer/Showrunner Warren Leight (In Treatment, Law & Order Criminal Intent), stars Holt McCallany (CSI: Miami) as “Patrick ‘Lights’ Leary,” an aging former heavyweight boxing champion who struggles to find his identity and support his wife and three daughters after retiring from the ring.

The Walking Dead will air on FX UK


FX UK has agreed a deal with US TV network AMC and has aquired the rights to broadcast new drama Walking Dead in Britain.

The show is due to air stateside in October 2010 and is based upon the comic book series of the same name written by Robert Kirkman. It tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and centres around a small group of survivors traveling across the country in search of a new home away from the hoards of zombies.

Michelle Forbes ‘True Blood could go on for nine years’

True Blood actress Michelle Forbes, has said that she thinks the vampire drama could be about for at least nine years.

Forbes who plays Maryann Forrester on the show, told The Sun that the programme has “enormous staying power”.

She said: “There’s a possibility it will last nine years because Charlaine Harris has written nine books which the show is based on.

Ugly Betty’s Grant Bowler will play werewolf in True Blood

Ugly Betty actor Grant Bowler has landed a role in vampire drame, True Blood.

Grant was last seen playing the role of Wilhelmina Slater’s embezzling boyfriend Connor Owens on Betty. He has now been cast as a recurring star in True Blood and will play Coot, a werewolf ringleader of a biker gang.

UK’s FX picks up True Blood season two

Hurray! FX has picked up the second season of True Blood. We have been waiting for this news ever since the first season ended last summer.

Season two will make its UK premiere in February 2010, after Channel 4 finishes airing season one.

True Blood: Stephen Moyer is more open to the supernatural

Stephen Moyer has admitted that appearing in vampire drama True Blood, has made him more open to the supernatural.

“I’m not superstitious in a way that I have to turn around three times before I go on set, but I think there’s something ‘other’,” he told MSN.

He explained: “In the last few years I have been much more open than I used to be to the supernatural.

True Blood: Stephen Moyer enjoys sex scenes with Anna Paquin

Stephen Moyer has admitted that his sex scenes in True Blood are easy to film, considering that his on screen partner Sookie Stackhouse is played by his real life fiancée, Anna Paquin.

Whilst promoting the launch of the show on UK’s Channel 4 Stephen told MSN: “Well obviously it makes it (easier), I mean, being in a relationship with a person that you’re doing the work with opens up certain doors that wouldn’t be there if you were working with somebody who you weren’t with, so we are able to shoot sex scenes in a way that perhaps people who have just met weren’t able to do.”
