Last Night’s TV – ER: Old Times

Oh the joy! Not only was Carter back, and Benton AND Carol Hathaway, but the God of all sex Gods George Clooney once again donned his scrubs and filled them very nicely, stepping back into his role as Doug Ross as though he’d never been away. He looked, and was, fabulous in his portrayal of Doug last night; it was as if he’d come home… and it made my day!

And in addition to the return of some old favourites character-wise, NBC really pushed the boat out and had Susan Sarandon and Ernest Borgnine making guest appearances as well!

ER: Doug Ross & Carol Hathaway Were Never Meant To Be!

Access Hollywood has revealed that if ER producers had went with their original plan the shows biggest love story never would have been.

The roller coaster love life of Ross and Hathaway formed the basis of many of the shows classic episodes however originally Hathaway was supposed to die in the pilot of the series. Thankfully for Julianna Margulies who plays Hathaway, she tested really well and was written into the show on a more permanent basis. The pair returned to the show for one last episode which aired in America this week, we can expect to see it on More4 next Thursday.

George returned to ER last night for a one off episode in the shows final season and I have to say, he looks as delectable as ever.

George Clooney Avoided ER Pranks

George Clooney didn’t play any of his famous pranks on the set of ER when he returned to film his final episode.

“There were none,” his co-star Julianna Margulies told Usmagazine.com.

“We shot everything in two days. We had no time. He was on a film schedule. I was coming from New York and I had a baby to get back to, so there was no time for pranks.”

Susan Sarandon To Join George Clooney On ER

E! Entertainment has reported that Susan Sarandon is to join George Clooney for his return to US medical drama, ER.

Susan and George are said to have begun filming their scenes on the set of the NBC show in Los Angeles last week.

George rose to fame on ER in the nineties as Dr Doug Ross and has since moved on to make some serious Hollywood blockbusters! After much speculation Clooney agreed to return to the show for its final episode which airs on April 2.

George Clooney WILL be back in ER!

Oh let joy be unconfined! The dazzlingly fabulous George Clooney will reprise his role as Dr Doug Ross for the final episode of ER which will air in the US on April 2nd

The show will be an hour long “retrospective” and will feature old and new footage of George as Doug.

ER Stars Have No Idea If Clooney Will Be Coming Back

ER stars have admitted that they have no idea if George Clooney will be reprising his role as Dr Doug Ross for the shows final episode.

“I have no idea,” said MSN quote British actress Parminder Nagra as saying. “I don’t think they would tell any of us if that was ever going to happen. It would all, I think, be undercover if it happened.”

Julianne Margulies Turns Does ER Comeback

Actress Julianne Margulies has revealed that she turned down the chance to appear on the final season of ER.

Margulies played nurse Carol Hathaway from 1994 to 2000. Her character left the show to settle down with George Clooney’s character, Dr Doug Ross.

“I feel like I left Carol in the best scenario possible,” said the 42-year-old. “I can’t imagine making it any better than that.”

George Clooney Returning To ER?

Despite repeated denials, people are still speculating that George Clooney will be returning to ER for its final episode this year.

The Hollywood star left the show in 2000 to pursue a movie career, but his old co-star Noah Wyle (aka Dr John Carter) is sure he will be returning.
